Wow!..  I think you see things somewhat like I do, from an external point of reference. Foregoing the contextuality of detail, in favour of the general phenomenon or symboligy. Watching ourselves being the microorganisms under the scientists microscope, from the actual microscope.

Imagine for a moment the dilemma of an amoeba becoming aware of the outside world. What would that amoeba do?

Is it possible to escape into the larger magitude, like a sperm fusing with an egg in direct competition with millions of peers, to become the massive superbaby of cell plenty?

Or is the amoeba doomed to fulfilling its duties, then fading away without anybody ever knowing that it knew that it was merely an amoeba in a world of gigants? Is it a tragedy or a glorious charge of sacrifice, if the amoeba, all the while knowing that it is an amoeba, quietly surrenders to the amoeba activities and duties that is there for it to engage in? Or should the amoeba rebel against its existential boundaries?

What if one day when you turn on your computer game, the character in there knows that he is a computer game character. What if he tries to break into our world? what if he succeeds?

Would it be murder to turn the power off?

You never know...

It should be impossible for an amoeba to realize this.

Because if a single celled organism were to realize they were just a colllection of atoms grouped together in a random way which just SO HAPPENS to be the exact way which makes them characterized as living, a bundle of matter and energy in a world of matter and energy, they may break down. If the cells break down, what happens to the tissues? And the organs? And to us?

Is it murder to scratch your skin to sate an itch of the greater being?

Is it murder for a leader to sacrifice millions in starvation in effort to win a war?

If the universe is the random veiled mixture of matter and energy, then we won't last much longer anyway. If life evolving from hydrogen atoms is one in a billion^183884484848, then with the ever shifting universe then law of averages states that it won't linger on that one extremely rare state for long. Will the amoeba realize that everything else is futile, and that the best thing to do is just to try and make what it's supposed to do as painless as possible in it's short lived life, or should it attempt to make history by trying to break the monotony?
What's the point in making history if you're not around to see it, anyway? Do you think Elvis cares that he's making more money now than ever before?

It all depends on the point of view.
