Poll Question: Rate Heroes 4
I'm kinda curious how you people would rate so i started this. I give 9. A wonderful game if you think it is not a continue game to Heroes 3, but a completely new HoMM

I think that heroes IV are best of all (though a bit unbalanced and trying to be different from HOMM III upon any terms).
I would personally like to see Heroes IV with all good ideas from Heroes II&III not thrown to the dust (heroes specialities, destroying walls and towers of attacked town, unit upgrades etc.)

5) Average
yep. thats what i think.
the new adventure map was awful. trees always annoy the view. all towns are boring squares. NO SWAMP TOWN. no hero specialities. annoying spell system. very very annoying dumb skill system, especcially the experience gaining part where you can under normal circumstances only advance what you already have(imo if h3 spell&skill systems had been more balanced, it would have been the best ever). inferno and necropolis in the same town - ridiculous. expansions didnt bring much new stuff.
otherwise, it has decent graphics. its quite good balanced(academy with its genies and spells should have been nerfed though, all the rest was fine). map editor was a lot more powerful than h3, yet less than h3wog.
some of the music was really great.
but i havent returned to play it ever since i found out wog existed.

I agree with both of you.
I loved the graphics, the music, heroes in combat, caravans, simultaneous retaliation, line of sight, potions, strategic choices without creature upgrades, scripting possibilities etc. Most of these features were not implemented well initially (due to the lack of funds and time) but were corrected in the Equilibris mod.
I did miss unique heroes from H3, though. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 10.

Voted 7... (for comparison i would give H2/3 a niner)
I never managed to get into H4 much... lack of hero specialties and many creatures from h3 didnt help the case either.
MORE MINUSES:
Ridiculous creatures or childish creature names were one of the bigger reasons to be negative about h4 as well..
Venom spawns, Mega dragons, Evil sorceresses, Frenzied Gnashers... and i prolly forgot many other ...
Building choices were also a minus... because i realise im always building the same units... thus it would be like 3 units per town dont exist at all...
Many more minuses, but im too lazy to write that much..
PLUSES:
H4 gets its big plus in MULTIPLAYER... while in H3 i hated multiplayer because winner was mostly decided by better chaining and using game imbalances... on other hand H4(with equilibris) is very good multiplayer experience.
Flagable resource buildings
In the end, even tho it had many minuses it was a good game.. and thus ... 7 is my vote

I gave the game a 7 just mostly for the fact that you have to choose between the creatures and skip out on the other creature.I realy don't like that layout. but rather than that I never looked at it as a sequel just a new ver.

I voted 9. As soon as I layed my eyes over the Heroes IV complete DVD, I just knew I had to have it! I am replaying all the campaigns, as I'm not into Multiplayer. Still, there are lots of great maps to play, and with Equilibris, it is even better!

There are lots of bad games, a lot worser than Pong. I assume you never installed "Bikini Karate Babes". Lucky you!

Can somebody explain to me.... whats wrong with PONG?
Its a decent game,.. and since 99% of todays versions are freeware, its cost-efficient as well
I still prefer "Arcade Volleyball" to PONG tho ... but both would be in top ten of "under 50KB" games

Gave it a 3.
less and boring towns, less and stupid creatures. etc.
the whole HOMM feeling is shattered as it is nothing like it.
only pluspoint is the incredible music at some times.
