I would rate it around a 9 or a 10. Tell me, what game is bug proof? I've yet to see one.
You gotta like the new editions and what lies waiting in the future. Despite it's few flaws, it's still the best darn game you can get for free!

I don't give it 10(outstanding), because many errors are on this mod, so when an error comes suddenly it wouldn't work for it and then it quit the game automatically, i give it 9

Yep, 9. Crashes too often and some of the options are unlikely to operate with current interface.

Yeah. That's about where I stand too. Most errors can be worked around though. Once a game brings up a crashing error, and you do the CTL + ALT + DEL thing, simply restart WoG, and you select the Load Game, hit the Autosave and replay the situation differently and it usually corrects itself. I can say this with confidence since I have done this often. Seems to work about 90% of the time for me anyway. This being for Singleplayer only.

You people are nuts  WOG is a completely free game. No cost, nada, and an oustanding quality (creatures recolored huh?) . Beside that the possibilities , if you master the ERM are NO limits. Please play Cave of Gerfrex, Peasant leader, Thunk, Chaser, Gelu's legacy to understand what I mean!
Bugs? Anyone here was in beta HoMM5 team? Oblivion doesnt crash ? How many Morowind mods went crazy and unplayable?
Outstanding, genial. Hat off!

I'm partial to Painted: The Misfit myself.
But for free, one should'nt complain. I've paid real money for worse games that's for sure.

I would probably rate it around 8 out of 10. There are some bugs in there that still need to be addressed but apart from that, it is a pretty cool modification for HOMM3.

That map is a very good one. I didnt put it on the list because of its nature. So many people worked on, so it lacks originality. The scripts are standard. It is a good map, but IMHO far away from a THUNK or even Peasant leader which are revolutionary. Chaser is not bad at all, hey, thats the only map in the world where you kill 9999x7 azure dragons.And in middle game.
People who rate here less than 10 NEVER played those maps.100% bugs free. Ignorants

Good about WOG:
- Grants you an endless amount of possibilities and alot of variation.
Bad about WOG:
- The scripting language is not so simple.
- Bugs and crashes.
- Graphics taken from other games.

What bugs people?! WoG is a tool. It bugs only if the mapmaker is noobish. All the games are bugged if you do stupid things with editor.
Did you ever played Fnord maps? Thunk? Chaser map from woodmelon?
If you did not played those, then don't rate what you don't understand. Give them a try and rate again. With true statements.

Just imagine you love Chess! You play it very often. Then someone comes and says: Guys..I think we have to "update" this game a bit. It is boring like that!"
Then he takes the board...all the pieces..and hides in his room. After a longer time, he comes out and presents his "update":
The board has 7 instead of 2 colors. There are 512 fields instead of 64. The King is able to move 6 steps instead of 1. If a pawn is able to take at least 2 other pieces off the board, he will turn into a yellow rook. Here he stops with his explanations because the basics are enough to have fun with that new game
Now imagine how many hardcore chess players will love that game...
And how many "non Heroes 3 addicts" will find it funny on the other hand.

It is more than boring to always have WOG compared to Chess. HoMM3 is more rich than HoMM2 but I didn't yet see this argument about Chess. HoMM5 is 100 times more stuffed than HoMM3 and people play it and enjoy (not only the "non addicts"). Being conservative is fine, being stubborn is not.
It proves only that you did never look deeply inside. I already insisted that WOG is a tool, not a game in itself. Only for professional users. It can become fast the worst game out here if used wrong. But so are many original and "famous" HoMM3 maps where you are level 32 week 2.
You have no idea what you miss here, all statements about monsters being stronger, AIR bus, 512 squares are "amateur" and do not fit well on a player as you are. Give a try at true WOG maps made by hardcore HoMM fans and you will be amazed what is inside. They are not dozens but few of them prove that HoMM3 could be in a way beatified and polished to extreme perfection.
Thunk, Cave of Gerfrex, The unknown, Time of prophecy, Alexander the Great (last two by me)
HoMM was not only about creature stats and moving this and that. Many original features from editor let the imaginative creator to push a basic exploration/rpg game to a invaluable level of story/events customization. Eventually you saw it in "Killing for power","The lord of war" or "Unleashing the Bloodthirsty". Well, WOG wise scripting permitted those to be multiplied to the infinite using the "flag" system. Now a quest will trigger only under certain circumstances, same as being attacked, alliances are dynamic, can change during the game, you can become evil, good or neutral, and all your actions lead to different issues. And fascinating scenario were born, at a much higher level as previous.
Once you give them a try we may discuss and even rate. How would you act if someone comes and tells you HoMM3 is buls$hit because archangels are faster than hydras? And rate it 2.5? Is it only this about?
I see your point but you are absolutely wrong. There is nothing different in WoG except the possibility to create deep and dynamic events, customized and enthralling quests and give more life and deeper atmosphere to the original game. What seems to you wrong with that?
