Yeah, that looks more attractive and not overpowered. Moreover, I think that the Absorption skill is good for the Spell-Breaker who isn't an all-out magic class, but only a bit more magic oriented.Of course there are a lot of numbers that I can't really judge without an in-game test, but it looks reasonable on the first glance.

Better names, huh? You got me there... How about Energy Channel? or Magic Channeling? ....... Well, yeah, names aren't really my specialty...

I prefer one-word names for skills ... It's just easier. But Channeling is probably a better name for the skill.

Yeah, I noticed. To be frank, I don't care too much what Dougal does, as long as he doesn't drown all the posts with off-topic comments about his Settlement.

But I think a comment or two is fine, it was just getting completely out of hand.

You need to know the following, form the Conflux town Daystar and I have been (are) working on:

Elemental creatures come in 3 levels:
- Manifestations (level 1)
- Elementals (level 3)
- Spirits (level 5)
Of each of those, you have the 4 elements Air, Water, Fire and Earth represented.

Furthermore, there are "advanced" versions of each (level 2, 4, and 6) that are formed by merging two of the different creatures of the same level - thus, Air Manifestation + Water Manifestation > Storm Manifestation, whereas Fire Elemental + Air Elemental > Plasma Elemental. I think that's basically what you need to know.

It's hard to comment on such a unique race, but it feels good to see some new ideas!

Two things on the Rift:
 1) +5 att/def is no small deal, especially on low levels. And the elements are known not only to strengthen but also to weaken. So maybe it will be a better idea to reduce the bonus and to add a penalty to the opposite element (remember that later Planes Walker would be able to choose the plane).
 2) It is said in the class description that the rift opens for a short time. Is there some connection to this on the battlefield or does that "short" time refers to the whole battle.

Summoner
- I don't understand, the ** XP + 5% per level refers to the number of creatures summoned each day or to the summon spells?
- Elemental Friend: the ability itself is not bad, but I'm not sure it fits the class so well. If I understand correctly the Summoner excels at bringing elementals from another planes, imo it makes him more of a master than a friend, and I just don't see a reason for already summoned elementals to join him.

- Manipulation: I have mixed feelings about this skill. At first it looks like a good idea. But when you look at each spell...
**Stone Spikes and Fireball - OK.
**Lighting - weird but ok.
**Ice bolt - ok if it also can be rotated (i.e. the target square can be the upper/lower right/left corner).
**Circle Of Winter - I've got a feeling that it will be hard to hit multiple enemies with such a big "radius", besides it kinda looses its "help the surrounded" function, maybe if the white area inside will be a 2*2 square (like the Enlarged Ice Bolt) then it could be used to help large surrounded creatures.
**Meteor Shower - while the idea itself is good you've got to remember that it will affect about half a field, including your units.
- Enforce Elements: again, while the idea is good and fits the class, I'm not sure I like an ability that equals to three other abilities.
- Elemental Revenge: nice, but it will probably suffer the fate of the Knight's ultimate. i.e. it has real value only against Dungeon.

Well, that's all I could think of. By the way, you have advanced classes that master summoning and destruction, so which one of them classifies as a Might Hero?

Yes, the +5 bonus is very random. At first I had +3, then changed it - but I would like to have something more refined, but didn't have time to come up with anything. Esentially, the idea would be to change the battlefield to something like those elemental terrains we had in Heroes 3 SOD (like Watery Fields, Fiery Planes, etc.).

EDIT: Perhaps one should just keep it simple and say something like a bonus equal to creature level (thus, Basic Manifestations get +1, Advanced Elementals get +4, etc.)?

I actually intended to have a penalty for the opposed element, but for some reason didn't do it. But I agree, it would make sense - and to improve the skill in late game, one could have a side effect that would like reduce the penalty to only half the bonus - in that way, you will sacrifice a bit to get a lot.

The "short time" was ment to be like the duration of battle. One could put a limit on (like 3/4/5 turns for basic/advanced/expert.

The XP thing refers to those creatures you summon into your army. These creatures actually stay with you permanently. If you ever played Heres 4, it's the exact same thing as the Nature Magic / Summoning Skill.

Mmmm ... Perhaps. I don't see it as a problem, but if we find something better, we might exchange it. I did that one because it goes in line with what I suggested for Haven and Inferno Subclasses.

- Ice Bolt: Ice bolt would not be rotatable - it would simple affect a 2x2 area instead of a single spot. The white spaces around meen nothing.
- Circle of Winter: Yes, 2x2 centre would probably be better!
- Meteor Shower: Certainly, it would be the closest thing to Armageddon! But still, I think battlefield is 8x12 - or is it 10x14? - in normal combat, and this is like 7x7 (excluding corners) ... uhm, ok, I think you're right, actually, one might scale it down to 6x6 (including corners) - I think it depends on the size of battlefield.

Uhmm ... yes ... I guess that's a bit overpowered. What about this instead: Increases any of those abilities the Hero might have like described (so if Hero has all 3 - good for him! If he has only 1 - well, that's the players choice.). If Hero haven't got any of the abilities, offers the choice of one of the three abilities instead (thus, you could have one of them in this slot, even though you haven't got Destructive Magic - isn't that ok?).

Uhm ... more usefull against some classes than others, true. But - also usefull against Wizard, Necromancer and Runemage I think, plus Sylvan might think twice about letting those Druids use the Lightning Bolt spell (or will regret they did it), as might Inferno with the Pit Lords! Haven ... Ok, Haven rarely uses Destructive Magic, true. But I still think it could be ok. Suggestions for improvements are, of course, always welcome.

The Summoner is intended to be the Might Class, because he focuses on increasing the number of units and their combat abilities, rather than on improving the Spells. The Summoning Spell was added as an extra feature - but true, he is bordering to Magic as well.
