Nope. It's definitely 10. Phoenixes were in Heroes II but weren't in Restoration of Erathia, they were brand new for the Conflux. And Pixies and Sprites, same species or not, are still two creatures.

No worries.  Actually the original Heroes III was the first game I ever bought in the entire series, so I know it inside out.
