Hmm... so, you're talking about UT 2004? What about you, GG? I was talking about the original UT. And actually, Galleon level isn't bad at all. It becomes a real bloodbath with about 8+ people

I've never had problems with fractal level. Get a rocket launcher, charge it, let them go either under her feet, on the wall behind her, or just launch them parallel to the ground in her general direction. It is very difficult to dodge 6 rockets. The same strategy works wonders vrs people as well. Shock rifle is pretty good too (one of the best guns, actually, if you know how to use it). The blast can kill you with a shield belt on if you are close enough to its center.

In the original UT in the last level of deathmatch you fight the owner of the Liandri corporation himself on his private spaceship. He's very difficult even on the normal setting. However, camping the shield belt with the occasional runs for the body armor and invisibility (mostly only to prevent him from picking those up) did the trick.

Yeah I know you were talking about UT but I was just mentioning 2004

The fight against Malcolm is on a private ship also.

Alright Russ, I think you've got me good. I started the campaign from scratch playing Godlike, and I've been getting slaughtered. It took me about ten loses before I beat the first level. That guy is supposed to be the weakest, but he landed what I consider to be several impossible shots! I finally beat him today, and I was rather surprised. He and I both had rocket launchers and I jumped towards him with my trigger pulled. It turned out that our respective rockets reached their intended targets and we both splattered on the ground. However, the announcer immediately congratulated me on winning and I made no further complaints.

The second level will take some practice. I murdered the two bots while playing Masterful, but now the tables have turned. My first attempts failed miserably, as I was thrice respawned several feet away from an opponent wielding a Flak Cannon. Some luck.

Yep, I don't think I've won any levels from the first attempt either.

Have you met the godlike Loque yet?

Hmm, not yet. But the name rings a bell. No, wait, it's triggering a nerve that fills my soul with potent surges of visceral rage. We've met before, I believe, on a lesser difficulty. Yes...I remember him.

Well... one thing about Godlike Loque is... HE HAS PERFECT AIM, so he'll whoop your ass with any instant-damage weapon.

He is a lethal threat to you whenever you are in his line of sight as soon as he respawns with his enforcer doing a guaranteed 25 damage per shot no matter how far you are or how well you dodge.

Although minigun is not 100% accurate on mid-long ranges, you do not want to be around Loque when he has it.

You DO NOT want to be in his line of sight when he has a shock rifle because he will deal 70 damage per shot with that as soon as he sees you.

Once he picks up a sniper rifle, you are a toast. If you ever get in his line of sight, the only thing you'll ever get to see will be your head being blown off.

Btw, one reason you may remember his name is that whenever you play vrs the NPCs, he'll always end up being the 1-st or the 2-nd (if you somehow manage to get more frags than he does)

I think my backbone turned to mush when I read your post.

Yeah, that guy is one serious SOB. I doubt I'll make it that far playing Godlike, and even if I do, I doubt it's worth all the frustration. I'd do much better playing Heroes on 200% difficulty (or at least I won't smart nearly as bad afterwards).

He isn't as scary as it looks. He has perfect aim, but you have the brains You've just got to find a tactic that will make you get more frags than AI. Camp the spawn, use the weapons to your advantage, etc. (Like shooting the ripper around the wall when the NPC has some weapon that requires line of sight, or waiting for them with 6 rockets loaded, or firing a shock blast in a place where they are about to run out from, etc)

No, ty, I prefer the first option
If you care, my user name is ebalex, ebalex1, ebalex2 and ebalex3

I think ebalex2 is the most advanced one. A super-pk with low combat level (56), insane damage and prayer (god! that skill is a pain to train!!!)

What I don't like about GW is not enough ppl play it so it's hard to form a party in some of the high-level areas..

Hey,

- From there we can build up some HC Tournaments if we have enough people.

What do you say?
I'd say nice idea... lol took me a while to find this thread, TA.

- Well I would love to play some games with HC's.  Recently I was cleaning my "no-wife-is-allowed-in-here-comp-room" and stumbled upon some of my old not so legal cd's and maan what a blast from the past... tons of oldies but goodies games... lol. So I am always ready to play a "good old " one.

- I have to may to list, but what i have just seen on my 1 cd I decrypted was :

- Carmageddon 2 ( that would be cool to play on a wireless lan or something )

- D2 ( Lod ) - Allways fun to fire up and "kill" a few hours.

- Risk

- Axes and Allies

- C&C , the old one(s)

- Redneck Rampage ( and those kinds of shoot 'em up ) but RR is kinda fun in it's whole set-up.

- Just PM me and then we could set up a game or two... I really would like a Carmageddon 2 MP game anything goes - no codes though.

Coret is one of my favorite CTF maps. I love it when I find online games using this map. Another favorite of mine is Lava Giant, which offers a lot of CTF fun. I'm relatively new to online UT, but it's addicting as heck.

I suspect it's because you died a lot in that one game. Have you even gotten used to this map yet? Heh, I've been playing this one for over 7 years. You? Not very long, I think. Stop being subjective all the time and give the maps a chance!!!

Well I will try that map, but I might make it so that me and you can play, I hate playing with other "real" humans, since they don't give you a chance, well most don't anyway
