Error loading save
Hi Guys, need some help here if you have experienced this;
Playing Kolia today, HoF, everything runs fine. So, the game crashes into Windows for me with the classic "Sorry for the inconvenience blah blah."
Well, that wont stop some eager players like us, so we just reenter to load first thing. First I try Hamachi and dont find any saves. Turns out we played through Ubi, so I figured that out
BUT, when I then try to load the autosaves in Ubi I get this annoying message:
"Your name is Fraudatio now.
In save only
You are not in save. Change your name."
Of course I havent changed my name in the few minutes since we crashed - how do I do it anyway? When I try tio join Kolias loading same message is there, but with slightly different wording.
Anyone know what we can do? It was a fun game that we really dont wanna lose.

A known bug appeared ever since 1.3 i was hoping they fixed but apparently not , happends every time u get the "youve been disconnected from ubi" message look in this forum for a thread about this issue - this is the main reason why i never play on ubi.com and only by hamachi you don't get this using hamachi.

True.
Been playing firts games on ubi servers and had various 'inconviniencing' situations. All is clocky on hamachipo
or maybe kolias was hacking you from his hometown Tirana albania
he lives in bomboed house

A few questions about Hamachi
The name you use on hamachi is not unique. Will this mean that you can host a LAN game of H5, then load it up with your opponent's name on your second computer?
Pirated versions work on Hamachi.. where does it end? Hacked versions? Is there even a check to compare the maps?
Just wondering..

Hamachi has nothing to do with heroes , the names on hamachi are names u set on hamachi the names on heroes are names on heroes , its possible to set up a way to load a game but you will need opponent's save since saves on your computer and on your opponent are diffrent.(atleast was till 1.3 and i doubt they changed that.)

Pirated version work on ubi too if you have an original key , hamachi makes online game more stable then ubi.com so i don't think one should complain about hamachi more like welcome it with open arms , Maps and data relating game mechanics are both checked by homm5 ensuring no cheating so far.

Fraudatio, i guess that since you lost conn to UBI during early game, we should have stopped and reloaded at that moment. As we continued playing, and your game crashed week 3 or so, UBI server could not allow you to enter the autosave anymore.
Btw, we choosed to play thru UBI since we had no ping in Hamachi......

Err... we should NOT be welcoming hamachi imo. Closed community - ring any bell?
Besides, can't you just send your own save to your other computer? Yes, you will have to choose new skills/lvls etc, but you will still get to see opponent's side, items, army and progression etc..
So, is this possible?
And UBI should be the way to go...
Playing pirated versions shouldn't be a reason anyway, those that play pirated versions do not contribute anything to the survival of the game.

That's exactly the reason of corrupted saves. Anything "bad" happens reload
I have heard about problems with pinging on Hamachi. Some computers do not work correctly with Hamachi.
