Well, Haven looks the most appealing to me with the music and that sun reflexes  Academy = great music, but the town is a bit less cool than haven. Sylvan: I hate elves, but the town is very nice. Necropolis: Bah. Lacks the atmosphere of the Necropolis from heroes3, and it's miles away from the obvious champion, necropolis of h2 Fortress is weird, didn't get used to it yet. Dungeon's music is.. well.. average.. and so is their city, nothing really cool there. Inferno's music sucks (I mean, it lacks some tune, atmosphere isn't EVERYTHING.. >_> and the town is too confusing too (a big thing with buildings scattered inside, yuck..). I like the red hellish glow and the fireballs, though, so I can't really say my favorite town totally sucks in appearance.
I like the trumpets in Inferno, but they don't sound frequently enough. Like with HOMM3 I loved the trumpets in Inferno and Dungeon, they made it sound evil.
Try getting your hands on Bruce Faulconer - Destruction, I used that one for Inferno music, it really fits it I think

One nitpick about the Haven town:
THERE IS NO ENTRY THAT LEADS UP TO THE TOP OF THE CASTLE.
You either need angels or griffins to give you a ride to the town hall it seems. Well, I'd assume that's how the priests would get down from there.

Well academy looks nice and its in a good backround (clouds) so i chose academy.

Since I am an Necromancer/Death Knight/undead etc. lover i would vote for the necropolis.
But the Inferno also looks nice

Uhhh... NO THERE ISN'T! Yes, the bridge goes up to the actual structure - but there is no entry point. Take a look closer here (images are very big so I'll just link them for you):

alrightey mate, i guess now we can't get into the Academy town either and where do we find water for the Inferno's shipyard and how about that dreaded cave ceiling even though it's sunny outside and what happened to the Academy town in the cavern?
IT'S A VIDEOGAME. you're lucky they even put a FRICKING bridge there to PRETEND it's a way to get inside the castle. THANK YOU!

We've already discussed that so many times.  I guess they just teleport.
That's the most reasonable answer, and it's magical, what fits them as Wizards.
What's more interesting is how the Titans get to their coliseum.
Anyway, my opinion has changed since I made this thread and wrote in the master post I like Sylvan the best.
Now I prefer Academy's design.

i have to say my favorite is haven. the capitol looks great in itself and all that marble with the sun shining really looks great
second favorite is academy. just love that sunny design with lots of interesting looking statues and buildings
