All the towns looks great.
But here is my list (i have not played HoF):
1. Sylvan, love the water, the music and the sun. Amazing combination.
2. Academy, i just love flying cites and the clouds. The architecture is very beautiful and there are a lot of things to look at.
3. Haven. Again, an beautiful sun. The terrain is also amazing, and i love their enourmous castle. Looks amazing when full built.
4. Necropolis, the moons are cool but i think that it is very strange that the Necromancers build so tall towers, and how do théy gte up there anyway?
5. Dungeon, when full built, amazing, when not full built, borrrinnnngggggg. Its feels that you are in a small cell when you play dungeon. I dont like it, to dark, to empty and a way to small.
6. Inferno, who can somebody like this town?
Even when full built it looks like crap. Its feels even smaller than the dungeon town! You dont even see the difference between the buildings...
And i always wondered one thing, how do you get around in the dungeon town? Tunnels???

Actually I like inferno and the video that guides you through it. It has a nightmarish and hostile feel, the fire theme works and the central tower is majestic.
Not one of my favourites but it sure is not ugly or plain. Just not too shiny.

1: Sylvan and Academy: There is too much competition for which is better. I hate Academy though, remodeling in 3DS MAX is a...son of lassie.
2: Inferno: Suprisingly, it looks good. It has this very alien feel, like the rest of the demons.
3: Haven: The whole city is rather nicley built.
4: Necropolis: Would be good it it wastn't so tall!
5: Dungeon: Makes me go into Feminist Ramapges so its out.
6: Fortress: Sorry, but it looks really bad. Inverted Inferno or something.

Actually the Torah correspond to the Bible's Old Testament, here's what wiki says on this subject:

1. Inferno
I hate demons, but their town is some piece of work. Everything is so chaotic and devilish - a true Hell. A best looking town.
2. Necropolis
Creepy! It looks great!
3. Sylvan
It looks very pretty, but they are in the middle of a lake, that's fine, but i liked it more in H3 - Mountains, forests, dragon cliffs... Ahh... Memories... Still, it deserves to be in third place.
4. Fortress
An interesting town architecture.
It looks like it's all about forging and mining, which is a great +.
5. Academy
It looks awesome, but how can you siege that city? By riding dragons? It's really nice looking, but it's on the sky.
6. Haven
Great, impressive medieval town.
Still, i don't get it why are all creature buildings built in the castle walls.
Cavaliers and Paladins should practice on some field or something, not in the castle.
7. Original idea, but i don't like it very much.

About Academy: I think their defensive fortifications are on the ground faaaar below their airborne city. That it is shown on the high-up-city itself just shows that something are being built down there.

Stables are not built on walls, they are built below walls with plenty of room for horses to run, even tho they add to the building walls (but thats not the stable). And angel building is not on walls as well.

But the Cavaliers and Paladins dwellings (Jousting Arena and Order of Paladins) ARE on the castle wall.
And I said creature buildings, which stables are not.

1 - Haven
I love the castle and most of all the statues, especially the Archangel. Also I love the environment - the sun, the river (or moats probably) and the surrounding areas. It's perfect! And the music is awesome too! I feel like in heaven.
2 - Dungeon
Building a structure on a stalactite is just superb! I love the statues too, especially those women (those three ladies and that one who's holding a dagger, I'm not really sure what buildings are those). I love the color - purple! It feels magical! Also I like the underground environment - silent, still and dark. I love the caverns too, that can be seen in the surrounding. And most of all, I love their secretive life. I feel thrilled. The music is great too, I love it, I feel like performing some ritual for the goddess.
3 - Necropolis
The best thing here is the sky! It's gloomy and the moon is so beautiful! I really, really love the view. The buildings are great also. The dark and smoky environment suits the undeads. It's like you'll going to get sick when you breathe in some air from it! I love the music too, very fitting.
4 - Academy
I like the idea that it floats up in the sky. A very suitable idea for wizards.
5 - Fortress
I like the idea that they built their structures in the mouth of a volcano. Brave.
6 - Sylvan
Well, I like elves but their town is... I don't know... maybe I'm expecting something else. But overall it is good!
7 - Inferno
Looks like a huge pile of rock for me.
And about Stronghold, I can't tell haven't seen one yet.

I like Stronghold, but it ain't the best. There is to much, Unused space ... Which makes it look deserted or something like that. And many of the buildings are made on the front of the town, and leaves the behind very empty. But its still great. Its a great feeling you have

1) Sylvan love the water and all of their buildings are beautiful
2) Stronghold - Primal and dangerous looking. Quickly gaining ground as one of my favorite faction tho, so maybe a bit biased.
3) Necropolips - The full moon is just too great, and the dark atmosphere is perfect.
4) Inferno - Burn baby burn  . Though one of my least favorite factions (not because they are weak, just because I am partial to ranged creatures) there town though is blood red with fire...gotta love it.
5) Dungeon - Sinister and Dark looking, and LOVE that statue.
6) Academy - though one of my favorite towns they are a bit stale in the structure department
7) Haven - Though the angel statue is majestic, just a bit bland for my taste.
8) Fortress - Like the dwarves, but the town is at the bottom of my list.

Academy has 2 more votes then Sylvan . As you can probably see I prefer the more 'savage' places, the Academy is a bit too stale for me.

Academy looks the best, no competition at all. But necropolis has a nicer sky (even though they aren't IN the sky like academy).
Stronghold is the most boring for me. A hole in the ground with buildings around it ZzzZz.

Definetly the Stronghold town is the best looking for me(Have you build all the buildings with the Tower of Khan and Shipyard...it looks awesome  )
