I live in a Country that respects that people who don't want to die for a cause they don't believe in, shouldn't have to.
Oh I'm so emba-- oh wait, no, I'm proud of that - so what are you on about?
I would love to meet all of you guys - I just don't think my situation would allow it. Kids really restrict your ability to just get up and go.
You could all come to Canada... but I don't know that MightyMage would last more than 5 minutes here after I tell everybody the things he's been saying about us 
Consis, you'd be okay anywhere - you're just too nice and respectful. Face to face and armed with a cup of coffee - you could even get me to talk politics with you

I haven't the foggiest why people say that about me, but it leads me to be very afraid of those who would be all too eager to remove my head based solely my national birthplace.

You misunderstood me Consis - all I meant was that I'd enjoy meeting and talking with you I mentioned politics because I make a rule not to talk about my views in the Other Side of the Monitor - but in real life I'd have no reason wear the "Mod Hat" and keep myself mum.
That's right isn't it? If we ever had a convention, the moderators wouldn't be expected to maintain order there too, would we?

I don't care where the hell it is so long as it isn't in America...or on this continent for that matter. If I take a vacation I want it to be far far away.
On a side note, since it will most likely be quite a long trip, I insist that none of you speak English when I arrive. If I'm gonna fly 12 or more hours then I sure as hell don't want to hear the same language I flew away from. Speak gibberish or pig latin. I don't care.
I think Italy would be a great place to visit. I hear Jesus is BIG there. Like a local celebrity.

The trouble with the US is that some of our HC friends can't get Visas to visit  I still like the idea of Germany, and the language isn't too hard to learn
If we can sort something out early enough then we can work towards saving the money...
Although... we could always crash at Val's place

A few words about the countries and the location. If all our American members would like to meet in the States that can be arranged. Of course all the Australians can meet up as well - why hasn't anyone suggested that before? However, have in mind that for some of us European folks getting visas is a major issue.
As for Europe, a few things should be considered here. First of all, if we are to meet up somewhere it should be in a place with a big airport nearby. Cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, Brussels, etc all have big airports and the international flights to these destinations cost less. Second of all, there should be enough to do in said town. A third thing to have in mind is the atmoshpere. That's why I'd never suggest Paris or France actually. A forth thing to consider is the generel price. England for example is a very expensive place as a whole. That includes metro, food, entertainment, even simple things such as postcards. I know a few great value places (clean, great service, affordable) but that still doesn't include the extras.
Vienna is a great place to go! Lots of wonderful sights to see, castles to visit. It's still quite costly to stay there but not as bad as England.
My personal favorite is Germany! There are places to go and the prices are quite acceptable compared to other places.
If you guys are interested in more information, I'll be happy to provide. I would love to ehar where you'd like us to meet (because I'd love to meet up with some of you)

Sounds interesting but I thought Paris & London were one of the most expensive places to stay at?
Then we got to figre out what we want to do & where we want to stay at etc .
