zzzzzz People need to get on topic. Only Doomforge and ZombieLord is posting about which faction creep-kill better.......

Anyway, can someone explain to me how 'attack' of a creature and 'defend ' of a creature affect gameplay. Is 'defend' make the opponent's attack deal less damage?

To Cookie,

yes when a unit specially in Knight's Army is performing a defensive Action, the unit in which that carries the acrion gets +2 to its Defense. Also As far as I know the damage delt by the range attack is also reduce.

About the attack-defense issue, I think there is a better description than this but here is a little information:

attack - Defense = a number then that number x creature damage x number of creature = total Damage done

the formula is:

damage_dealt = number_of_creatures_in_the_stack * damage_of_creature * ((1 + 0.05*attack) / (1 + 0.05*defense))

well, I'm still using the heroes 3 damage formula. Perhaps it may be a bit wrong.

DAM= (1+((A-D)*X))) * quanity * RND_damage

if A>D than X= 0,05
if A<D than X= 0,02

let me know if it's out of date.

well, the community manual says my formula is correct. i think yours is wrong (it isn't even mathematical correct... what's up with that 0.02?)

Well as I said this is the formula for heroes 3.

The damage was increased by 5% for every ATT point higher then defender's DEF if attack was greater than DEF of the opponent, or reduced by 2% for every DEF point above your attack if opponent's DEF was greater than your ATT. Simple.

If the formula is different in H5, I will have to re-do the charts. Duh

Yeah but why 5% and 2%? I think it should've been 2.5%

So can you also do a chart over what creatures kills the most: Peasent or have best attack or something? Because that could be fun to see too?

I did such chart too. It's somewhere on the forums, but it uses the incorrect formula aswell.

Aww, I'll just do another chart that shows both endurance and damage per week.

if A>D
Total_damage = stack_size*damage*[1+0.05*(A-D)]
if A<D
Total_damage = stack_size*damage/[1+0.05*(D-A)]

Doom if you still have all the info with you, will it be too hard to redo creature survivability with the correct formula?  I'm sure it's fairly close as is, but it would be nice to see the correct numbers.

ofc I will do it, I like doing the charts! And I've wrote all the formulas in Excel, all I need to do is insert ATT, DEF, numbers and damage, and bam, all the damage/endurance things are shown..

Expect me to do it soon.
