As for me, i tend to go towards light, since that's a more offensive strategy, and the mighty ressurection spell i simply LOVE it!  In certain games, where i need to go defensive, dark spells are advantages.  Then again, i'll still keep eyeing that light skill when it does show up lol

Radar but didn't you tell me you only need to change the school of magic and they work so why would say only one works. I think if you mod or edite them yourself it will work.

So more spells are coming Great!

I was kind of surprised when I first saw that knights had access to weakening strike, but more sadly that it is a prerequisite for Power of speed. I'll like to mod this away myself later.
Weakeing strike isn't good enough to make it worth a skill upgrade, and even less to block you from getting Master of Mind.

I am still testing my stategy as to whether I choose Light or Dark Magic (both takes too many lvls and important skill spots I think).  I do love Divine Strength and haste on marksmen, but I can get that from Inquisitors.  Freny and the Mind Control spell seem like they could really turn a battle around.  Mass slow is probably not quite as good as mass haste because the faster the steel hits the meat the less I have to worry about offensive spells which slow doesn't slow down.  It would be nice to wait until I knew what was in my mage guild, but lvl's come slow by the time mage guild is lvl 5 and I am usually far from home and don't want to waste time going back.  Maybe Light magic is good for focusing on Marksman and skipping Inquisitors and Angels (divine strength, haste, resurrect) and Dark magic is good when developing entire army and using the Inquisitors and Angels spells.  I'm still up in air about this though.

Mass slow and Mass haste has te exact same effect (at expert level)since it either boost your own or slows the enemy with 40%, which relative speaking is the same. But Mass slow can be resisted and doesnt work on all creatures, therefore Mass Haste is better.

Another thing about Light and Dark. Both spell types are dominant in the Haven, so the Knight is as good to use for both. Still, I think Master of Mind and Fallen Knight are better traits than the Light ones.

Mass slow slows the battle down, but does not effect the enemy Hero who (esp. if Warlock) will be casting direct damage spells.  Mass haste speeds battle up so not as many enemy spells can be cast.  The conclusion is the same, mass haste is better.

Do you say that Mass Haste affect yout hero then? Or else those effects should be the same. Either you slow your enemy or haste your own 40% it should be the same, and none of them should affect the heroes iniative.

But with Mass Haste you have more control and therefore it is better.

Actually, that was in fact what he said it DIDN'T do. None of the spells affect Hero, but by using Slow, you will make the enemy Hero relatively better (compared to is other troops), whereas you by using Haste will make your own troops relatively better compared to the enemy - and your - Hero.

well it depends on the situation wheter it is good or bad. if the enemy army is strong, but the hero is not the impressive, then using slow would be a good option. However if the army in weak or midiocer compared to your army is is wise to use haste specially on the shooter units.

That's true.  And since the Haven is traditionally a might hero and generally relies heavier on their troops than more magic based factions (who rely more on their hero)... haste is usually the better pick.  However this still doesn't make up my mind about dark vs light magic.  I can haste my best troops with my Inquisitors AND mass slow if I choose dark... there are still more factors to consider though.

Why don't you consider both?

It takes a few levels, but if you want more tactical approach, not just brute force.. why not?

haste+slow works wonders.
Suffering+mass endurance means +24 DEF for every creature, ain't it better than, say, enlightment?

It would be extremely scary to see such knights. Pity that 8% chance ain't really too much.

It's such a shame Power of Speed isn't worth it for the Knight, as it would have been a nice contribution to Dark Magic.
I have considerer using both though; if Knight had acces to Twilight it would have been greath then. (It's boring that only Necros and Warlocks have access to this as they already have good SP and rather use Destructive/Summoning)

If Knight had an easy access to Power of Speed that would be the final point for me never playing that faction. Everything is too easy for them allready, their only weakness being spells (mana). Now grant them a mass haste with 0 mana...
