Battle Hymn is one of my all time favorite tunes. That song gets me pumped up every time I listen to it!!!!
I'll check the url you gave me, and most likely buy the cd and give it a spin
Thanks for the tip, it's appreciated!!
You're welcome. I'm not a huge manowar fan, and I'm not familiar with all of their stuff, but "Hail and Kill" was a darn cool one that I've had stuck in my head lately. Just makes me wanna play Crag Hack in a Heroes game.
As for the CD, Nightfall... is tough to get into if you're not familiar with the band. You might want to get Imaginations from the Other Side first, just because most people like that after one listen and love it after two. Nightfall probably takes closer to a dozen before you really like it just because it's more epic and complex.

I hate to double post, but back on topic, Tolkien is the father of modern fantasy, no question.
Sad thing is he spend so many years creating the history and the world that he didn't get to write many books in this world of his creation before he died.
Even The Silmarillion had to be finished from his notes by somebody else.

the Silmarilion was never trully finished...
...however, Christofer Tolkien (son of J.R.R.) assembled the parts and added some notes from his recolection of his father's stories...

Uh, listen to tales from the twilight world - strong Queen influence in that one. I never said they "sound like Queen" but their chorus and song structures are strongly inspired by queen and have a queen-like feel to them. If you don't believe me, talk to the band.
And yeah, they do rule. Even in lowercase letters.
I do think it is somewhat insulting to classify BG as powermetal - or to classify them at all. They are so much more than "just powermetal". I mean, they are leaps and bounds ahead of the typical powermetal bands like hammerfall, stratovarious, or helloween.
