I hope, but there isn't enough players to make it 'the hangout'. But as it has proven, its a good place to meet up when looking for a game, or to discuss strategies, maps, etc...

well seen as all toh is open (h3 h4 h5) why not rename this place as the toh chatroom, not just h5, think then u would have a big community again in 1 place, and maybe more h3 h4 players will try h5 like i did.

Could be a good idea, although I'm usre most past h3 and h4 players know they would be welcome in the chatroom anyway. But I suppose some may not.

Well as much as there was 'talk' and complaining about not having ToH for homm3&4, the reality was... no real gaming. More talk than play. Now its been over 2 weeks since the whole opening up for homm3&4 -- there's been just a few homm3 games, and no homm4 games on ToH record. But at least I won't get daily complaints from the same people. Homm5 is where its at.
Its been announced on Celestialheavens, Age of Heroes, and ToH, but it proves how little activity there is for homm3/4 online.

there more activity still in h3 then 4 or 5 online, just not here atm, i think u guys know that, and theres now 3 other full time leagues for h3 also which are pretty active. more h3 game played per wk online then h5+h4. will take time for word to spread that toh h3 is back. most ppl not mind readers and dont visit toh now they think it stop h3 support.

Having H4 as well in ToH, was a matter of prestige and honor to a great game and very different from other homm series

Please post links to these sites where all the homm3 gaming is taking place Maximus. I personally would like to go check them out. Could be a great place to sew the seeds of homm5 and ToH.

getting a guy quit h3.. eeerhmm yeaaa right, how much$ am i getting per conversion? cause i aint doing it for less than 500$ per head
better ask me to convince ppl out of dope, would be so much easier

I recently got a new laptop and now cannot enter TOH chatroom.
I have the latest Java installed and Virtual Machine... and all it does is says Loading.......... forever!!!!!
What settings do I need to tweak? This laptop Has the new Windows Vista.... is the chat room not compatible with Vista?
Any solutions would be appreciated.

I tried to play a good old h3 game, went to the chatroom (I don't know what time it is in the states, because currently I am in China and it is morning so I assumed it should be gametime at your place!)
and nobody there!
Ahh well, at least a kitten or someone with the nickname *kitten* showed up quickly but before I could say hello kitty *miaooow* she disappeared the way she came. Good Luck, Bad Luck? Tell me!
Same stuff happened in Oracle.. (not the kitten thingy though!)
Pay an old hero some honor, visit that chatroom and play a game with rusty old platon!
I got a laptop with less memory than my age, so I can only play H3.

Sorry for being so judgemental!
I found a player finally in this chatroom, his name is famous all over the realm. Finally he approached me and said:
Mel..<censored> :"hey you too, wanna play a game"
Platon: "sure, h3, h4, h5? What do you seek, wise one..."
Mel..<censored> "H3 I don't play anymore, H4 I deleted from my harddrive, H5 doesn't work (smth. about update, 1.4.1, crash.., boom, whatever..)"
Thus I spoketh "Have a game of Mahjong with me instead."

We got 25 people in the chatroom yesterday, wow! Come and chill out with us! The golden times will be back!

From my point of view its certainly worth buying in any case , Whether you'd like it or not i think its very personal i think it depends on how u adjust to new things , I know i can say that at first look i also didn't like heroes 5 it looked diffrenet/strange but i was willing to give it the chance and play it and once i got used to the graphics and style of play which is very different from heroes 3 even if its quite similar - I now enjoy it very much ..

I also enjoy it very much. Its a different game than H3 but has the same style of flow.
I hated H4. H5 was very very refreshing. If you buy it though you need to also get the xpac before making a judgement I'd say.

I still would like someone to help me figure out how I can get into the Chatroom with my new laptop.....
I have Windows Vista.... does ves just need to set it up so Vista people can be compatible? Or is there some security setting that I need to adjust....I have Java installed and java virtual machine.... someone please help...
