Haven isn't that good, and the wizards neither. Only the "Flower sniffers" keep the tree-hugging goodness around them.

I think one of the things that made the campaign OK was the fact that alliances were not the usual "Good vs Evil" as the Griffin Empire tied up with the Necros to beat the Mages, and the Warlocks tried to help the Queen. Not to mention the romantic Agrael

Yes, you're right.
The good mixes with evil and order with chaos.
It's very flexible...
And I could never forget the romantic Agreal!

Necropolis and Dungeon should be switched.  The Necropolis is much more organized and unified in their efforts.  The Dungeon is scattered into clans and much less orderly.

You didn't get the point here...
Alc did that every faction is in the opposite side of it's enemy.
Like: Sylvan against Dungeon, Haven against Inferno, etc.
But you are right that it doesn't come well. I disagree that Dungeon isn't lawful. The have those "Clan rules" and classes like Clanlord and things like that. They are extremely organized inside those clans.
There are no rules in Necropolis. Every does what he wants.

This thing "the opposite side" is all time changing.
Well in h3 it was Elves vs Necro, Dungeon vs Academy. Now(H5) they are swhiched . Why?
And i am not talking about campains or some other farry tales. i am talking about the race's strong and week points.

I really don't think that there is: good and evil is this version of HoMM, they keep changing sides... And I think you can only see the races having allies in the campaign and in the campaign they just keep switching damn sides!

As you probebly know, there are two alignments in H5: Good and Evil.
Humans (Haven), Wizards (Academy) and Elves (Sylvan) are good.
Demons (Inferno), Undead (Necropolis) and Dark elves (Dungeon) are evil.

In H3, for example, was a third alignment: neutarl.
There Fortress and Stronghold were neutral.
What do you think about having a neutral alignment in H5?
And mabey the next two factions (probebly orcs and nagas) will be neutral, like they were in H3?

Personaly, I don't like it.
I think that two alignments are enough, becuase will be less action if will be a neutral one.
But there are people that like this idea, and (probebly) don't see the orcs ar the nagas are good or evil.
What do you think about it?
You forgott Conflux, it was neutral to.

I think that the Evil-Good thing is childish. Haven should be opposite to Inferno, Dungeon to Sylvan and Academy to Necropolis. That's enough.

Yes, the (overpowered) Conflux was neutral two, it was started with the neutral creatures: the Elementals.
And what's the problem with being childish here? There are magics and creaturs from lenagends here.
The whole game is childish. Did you ever see Gremlin in the reality?
