Bugs and Errors in H5 and HoF

reading through all the "problem in H5 threads", is very annoying, so i have made this thread, so as a community we can fix these problems together

H5 Bugs and Errors

Game crashes when gated creatures die: not fixed

HoF Bugs and Errors

Can not buy Fortress heroes in taverns, on original H5 maps: not fixed

add elements to Fortress and Renegade creatures for Elemental Vishions: fixed by Alc

Tooltip bug: The tooltip dissapears when the mouse is moved just a tiny bit. This often results in flickering when right clicking an object. This problem could easily be fixed by locking the tooltip while the right mouse button is pushed.

The music doesn't change when it should, so it often plays wrong music on the different terrains (grassland music underground and so on)

moon weeks that regards mastery of spells (e.g. week of abjuration) does not work.

Demon overseers explode in inappropriate times either near allies or far from enemies.

AI does not flee on hard.

AI using instant travel makes the turns last very long.

The game crashes occasionally when fighting a siege in quick combat.

Just before imperial griffins get to play their image disappears from the ATB.

When a Fire Shield is resisted, you get a message 'magic resistance:frost breath failed'

The empowered version of meteor shower has no animation.

The AI cast buffs when it could end the battle by attacking.

In hotseat you may see most players have red player written during their turns.(red player, red player1, red player2 etc) I think it happens if you try to change your flag colour.

Scholar was changed, so the hero with it can teach spells, but not be tought any but retains its starting description.

Casting fireball sometimes causes graphical glitches.

The u hotkey for upg does not function.

When trying to dismiss a hero, the dialog box asks "Spare your hero". By choosing OK, you're in fact dismissing him.

If you have all creature slots taken some of which occupied with the same creatures(say 2 stacks of druids) and some creatures decide to join you you are unable to combine armies to make room for the new creatures-if you do you can't accept the new stack. Trying to split the new troops so you can take a part of them crashes the game.

Casting firetrap near opponent and use blackbear riders to hurl them on a firetrap doesn't trigger the mines. Same for firewall.

When you face someone in his town, his walls broken and your berserkers are in reach of enemy units behind moat they won't attack it.Even if the moat's protections(mines/runes) are destroyed.Instead he will attack YOUR units or your catapult.

About blackbear riders.If you attack a small unit in a corner and paw strike triggers,it will move to the left or right by a tile but being adjacent to you it will still retaliate.

Confusion states that a part of the affected stack forgets to shoot.If you cast it on assasins althought they do a part of the damage you still get all of the poison damage.With 150 assasins and confusion without mastery you get damage of 75 assasins plus 150 poison.

In summon creatures heroes not lose 75% of your movement anymore. Description sais they do.

Vampires drain half of their damage on 1hp clones from phantom forces.

Good thread but ... I didn't fix that one. I did however make a mod to add elements to Fortress and Renegade creatures for Elemental Vishions.

Great iniative

I think there's so much frustration with all those bugs in a rather great game.

Those bugs which irritates me the most are:

1) Gatecrasher bug already mentioned. Makes 1.04 worthless for me.

I'm too bored to check which of those are confirmed bugs and which have been fixed so I'll post later.
Also there are some scattered in Ubi's wishlist but it would be suicidal to try to find them in there...

Someone mentioned that Summon Phoenix + Phantom Forces will create a Phantom Phoenix, which upon kill will resurrect itself as an invisible Phoenix, that cannot be targeted ...

Summon phoenix does not allow phantom forces on it, I've tried. Wasn't he referring on real units?

It takes so long to exit the game sometimes that I usually just saved the game and restarted the computer... It made the game crash whenever I entered the game again and tried to load So if there are maniacs like me who restart the pc as they get bored waiting for the game to exit, don't do it...

Don't you think that loading your OS again lasts longer than the exit? or use task manager (force it off)

Another bug that I do not where it comes, hence my information will probably render as unuseful: Sometimes when I save a game, and then load, the game crashes.. but this happens on SOME saves, as if they were corrupted or something. If I load a well-known-to-be-correct save, I have no problems.

Solution: always check if saves are valid, and save often

Disturbingly enough, it's takes much less time sometimes...

there is plenty of bugs, my new one discovered is deirde special not working as described in manual, it lowers initiative only by 10%, should 20%

So this is the thread to be used for bugs? I just replied to Baklavas 2 day old one, but that one was pretty empty.

As a mentioned in a thread, the Elemental waistband has a bug since it decreases spellpower somehow.

Elvin, really nice list of bugs, but i found on ubi many more haha. I doubt, they will repair it all. For now, i want deirdre special working properly! I dont like kaspar and vladimir.

Actually the description ingame sais 10% so it's no bug.

Another one: Sometimes the game sais 'retaliate no' when creatures can retaliate. I have seen it with ghosts.

Deirdre should have banshee howl doubled, 20%,-2luck,-2morale, that says manual, ingame has about it info, that it grow stronger with higher lvls, and that is actually not true too.

many many bugs, i am developing one skill, bugfinding.
I hope, that patch will solve some most of problems, because there are obviously many. and i would be graceful for more heroes in every faction, there are just few .

True though most are remnants from previous versions. Only few were introduced with HoF.
