That dopamine thing is the wrong way to look at altruism.  Being able to scientifically explain what makes you happy when you do something right, doesn't take away the fact that your happiness comes from doing something right.

You're *supposed* to feel happy from doing the right things.

Mlai that must be the most oblivious post in a long time. My whole point from the start is that there is no "wrong" or "right" only social and biological paradigms that dictate what is percieved as "right" or "good" or "wrong" or "evil". Any action can be programmed into a mind to be seen as "positive" by the brains selfrewardsystem. Even selfmutilation (extreme masochists), voluntary starvation (anorexia) and other forms of selfdestructive behaviour which in most modern western cultures would be seen as extremly illogical.
