So the HC Darkening has begun... and to think it starts with such an innocent mistake. I know for certain that I shouldn't be telling you this - in fact, i shouldn't even have found out about it myself - but I am as curious as I am bossy - and for that I won't apologize.
From time to time, some of the donut eating moderators have been known to get a little thick around the middle - and Valeriy devised a secret Moderator exercise program to get us back in shape. I only know this because one day I saw him eying Angelito and heard him mutter "Hmm... a little tubby, time to fix that" and then he hovered over to an area of the squad that was supposed to store all the deleted penalty posts - no one ever went there, because we know what's in there... horribly foul.
Anyways, I had to follow him because the curiosity was nearly more than i could bear - and follow I did. We went through the penalty warehouse, and I could barely keep down my breakfast as we passed the "Pig's Greatest Hits" section... but I made it, and then we were there. Valeriy stood before a giant screen, that buzzed and hummed with power. He raised his staff and aimed it at one of the icons on the screen... "ah yes, clone attack should do" he said, as a bolt of red light touched the screen. I hid as Valeriy left, and then went to examine this device. On the screen were dozens of HC calamities -; downtime, clones,red star debates,wrongful member ban, random conspiracy theory, superspammer... and the list went on.
I was beyond stunned to think that Valeriy inflicted all of this on us, as exercise! So I left, and went back to my duties...okay okay, that's a lie... I tried playing with the buttons, but I couldn't do it - I needed the wand.
So out I went into the squad, and back to my normal duties. But I just couldn't stop thinking about that damned shiney board...it haunted me! Finally I devised a plan, I started feeding MightyMage nothing but creamed soups until he had a noticible spare tire, then I pointed it out to Valeriy - when Valeriy went ahead to start the exercise program, i followed him of course. He shocked the heck out of me when he suddenly spoke "I can't believe it took you this long to try to trick me back here" I tried to think of some way to deny it, but I knew it was futile. Then, to my surprise he held his staff out to me and said "you can do it, just this once, but don't tell anyone"
So i held his staff in my two hands, utterly amazed at how heavy it was. I aimed it towards the board, trying to keep my hands steady against the weight... then it happened. I staggered backwards, sending a beam of blueish light at the boards which set off nearly half of the "exercise programs" Valeriy descended and took hold of the staff - his face contorted in horror... when the both of us held the staff the light beam changed to a purple colour and the entire screen glowed purple.
The next thing I knew I was in my room, and a very tired looking Valeriy hovered nearby.
"Do you know what you've done?" he asked me solemnly.
I shook my head, barely remembering.
Valeriy shook his head again.
"This won't be pretty"
Since then, every once in a while there has been a crackling sound and strange purple holes appear in the sky and on the ground... i don't know what they are yet, none of us do. But I don't think they're good.

Okay, here's another. Some of us moderators were feeling a little worried that Trogdor might actually burn down our mod towers - mainly because every week we'd get 6,230 letters saying

It turns out that Trogdor lives in an immaculate white house, surrounded by a white picket fence. The house has a bright red door, and sky blue shutters - and the yard is landscaped to perfection.
When Trogdor returns home from a day of grouching and flame throwing, the first thing he does is put on his fuzzy white slippers and plush white bathrobe. Then he goes to his kitchen to put on a pot of chamomile tea, while that is brewing he feeds his 3 cats, Fluffy, Muffy and Buffy.
He takes his tea and a snack of lady fingers to his sitting room, where he puts on some soothing Classical music. The sitting room is a brightly lit showcase of thousands of tiny porcelain animals - all of which were carefully hand-painted by Trogdor himself.
After his snack, he takes out his paints and 5 new animals each day to add to his collection. Once he has finished his painting, he carefully sets the 5 new animals to dry by the window.
He prepares his dinner and eats it while watching reality TV shows. Once dinner is finished and cleaned up, he goes to his office to write 890 threatening notes to the mod squad - which he sets on a small table near the door for mailing every morning.
He is asleep by 9 o clock every night.
Clearly Trogdor is not our villain, now we mods just giggle at his notes.

Some of you may not like this one. It will come as a shock, even a disappointment - but when you really think on it - it will all make perfect sense. I'm just going to go ahead and say it fast, so the sting is just like ripping off a band aid - then I'll fill you in on the detail.
Iris is the HC Hacker.
{pauses for dramatic effect - takes a deep breath and then goes on}
We began our official Modsquad investigation quite some time ago when a few reports started to trickle in about Iris' strange behaviour. We believe where it all began was when TNT Addict made a comment about wanting to meet Iris' roommate. Initially, it didn't seem like anything important, but a few people noticed that was right about the time Iris developed her tic. Her left eye would start to twitch uncontrollably, we all assumed that she was just winking at the boys... after all, she is a pretty flirty girl - but then people started commenting on the strange growling noise she was making.
That was about the time we started the file on her. We would all take turns following her - growing more and more suspicious of all the time she was away from HC. We even came up with a nickname for her "Sneaky Iris" because she always seemed to be sneaking out, and looking over her shoulder as she went.
Sneaky Iris started spending so much time away from HC that we all felt that her odd behaviour could probably all be attributed to one of those "RL Boyfriends" that we hear about from time to time. Usually when one of our more creative lady posters disappears it's because one of them has taken her.
But then, Sneaky Iris came back - just for a little bit, here and there. No one really suspected anything, and truth be told everyone was a bit relieved. She didn't seem quite so sneaky - and we were just happy to have her back.
Then she fixed her sights on MightyMage. That's when I became really suspicious. As the only chick in the squad (yeah yeah Dragonsister.. lol) I tend to get very protective and even a wee bit jealous when it comes to the guys in the HQ. When Iris asked MightyMage to get together with her to play some Other Games, that's when my Mod senses kicked into high gear.
When MightyMage returned, he was all smiles - but I was there waiting for him at the gate. "Not so fast Mister!" I said as I started to frisk him. MightyMage began to giggle (for those of you who don't know, he is ridiculously ticklish) Sure enough, Mightymage was covered in SneakyIris brand spy tools, there were cameras and listening devices, a GPS dot... you name it. "How on earth did she get all this stuff on you without you noticing?" I asked. MightyMage just blushed, so I decided to let it go at that.
When we entered the HQ, Angelito was waiting for us with a video cassette - he told us that the others were waiting in the conference room. We went in, and what we found should have been shocking, but it really wasn't by now. There was sneaky Iris, coming out of the Haxor Mart with a book tucked under her arm. After zooming we saw the title.
"How to hack Spammers and Make it look like Dragon_Slayer did it"
Its sad... but all true.
Sneaky Iris is the HC Hacker

But when Pan chose to spill the beans 
You know I wasn't pleased
