Heroes 6

yeah, i know we've only had the first of "many" expansions in H5, but lets start over, get back to basics, a new game, fix the errors of old, and use much gained experiance.

Heroes 6

you've seen the map (need that map, anyone got a link for it)

lets first think of factions that are very popular:

Human
Demon
Elf
Necro
Dwarve
Naga
Lizard Men
Orc
Orge
Goblin
Elemental
Centaur

then we think of a rather good home for them, eg. Naga people: swamps
Faction possibleitys (i am useing several differnt game races here)

Human --> Academy, Castle
Demon --> Inferno
Elf --> Wood Elf/Sylvan, Dark Elves
Necro --> Necropolis
Dwave --> H5 Fortress
Naga --> H3 Fortress *
Lizard Men --> H3 Fortress *
Orc --> H3 race **
Orge --> H3 race **
Goblin --> H3 race **
Elemental --> Conflux
Centaur --> Centaur Camp (got from alcs signature)
??????? --> H3 Dungeon

*/** could be one race

so from that list above you could have a possible 12 races their or at most 15 races, i would however prefere 12

lets start to coment or material has grown old, so now lets start a new, Heroes of Might and Magic 6

yeah, but its worth to think about H6, there are excellent game ideas in the Altar, but they require a complete redo of the game to make it work

What's the point of doing this? The thread will die in a couple of days due to lack of inactivity anyway...
Mah... I've got nothing better to do...
You forgot to list dark elves in. Is that because you don't like them or what? I think they should have a faction of their own, but in the upper world. Underground would be inhabited by dungeon hordes (good old H3 dungeon...), and dark elves would have some dark, dense forests, to counter the elven ones. I thought to drop the elven civil war idea stolen from Warhammer and instead make the dark elves less connected to the "normal" elves. That would give them more independence and make them cooler, and besides, it would be a little less cliche

Nival:

"11 races, some of them only in Heroes 6" - so this is the final number of races in Heroes 6...

I think:

Haven
Inferno
Necropolis
Sylvan
Academy
Dungeon
Fotress

Stronghold - the orcs
Conflux - elementals
??? - the lizards

----------------------------

10, so we need 11, any ideas?

If I was Ubi derector:

Haven
Inferno
Necropolis
Sylvan
Academy
Dugeon - the old one (H3)
Stronghold
Conflux
Fotress - the old one (H3)

Yes 3D Heroes 3 With realistic graphics...

Faceless... Or they could give back the old dungeon from H3 to us and make the dark elves something else, like I already suggested... That sounds the most fair. OR they could mix that so that they make the old dungeon but make the Faceless its overlords... Then the faceless would be their level 7s and the dark elves would get black dragons.

Ah. That's better.
Dark elves are a nusproduct of the perfect society. Because elves are represented as pure and good creatures, they have much potential at their darker side... Dark elves are those who embraced that side. Quite simple. They can be found in 90% rpgs and frps these days (plus warhammer). Only stories about how they started to exist differ (civil war, different specie, exiles...)

From Heroes V:

Haven (Humans)
Fortress (Dwarves)
Sylvan (Elves)
Academy (Wizards)
Sactuary (Nagas)
Stronghold (Orcs)
Asylum (Dark elves)
Necropolis (Necromancers)
Inferno (Demons)

In heroes VI:

Centaurs?
Elementalist guild?

These are the only I could think of right now. Totaly 11 factions.

These are (still) my beliefs:

Heroes 6 Nations
Holy Griffin Empire - Capital Carlevor - Humans
Al-Shazzar (aka. The Silver Cities) - Capital Al Safir - Wizards w. Animates
Irollan - Capital Tam-Avlee - Elves
Dungeons - Capital unknown - Dark Elves
Grimheim - Capital Tor Myrdal - Dwarves
Vale Of Heresh - Capital Nar Ankar - Necromancers w. Undead
Kreegar - Capital Nessus - Demons and Devils
Thyssus - Capital Lagesh - Orcs
Hashima - Capital Nariya - Naga
Khotan - Capital Chaga-Dai - Centaur Nomads

I have noticed, however, that neither the Dwarven nor the Necromancer nation are marked with a Capital nor are linked to the "Doomstar" (relating to Dark Messias story, I think) ... I wonder what that signifies. And yes, I know that some people mean this has only relation to Dark Messias and no significance for the future of Heroes ... but personally, I don't believe in that. The games seem to be very much intertwined, and it would be odd for the developers to have them branch out with different futures.

Remind me again where that map came from, Alc?

My H5 prediction - one more expansion pack, one more race - the Naga.
As for H6, Orcs and Centaurs or sim. seem possible; personally I'd like an H3-fortress-style town (assuming the Naga aren't too like this, although they probably will be) - but I doubt that will happen. What I'd really like to see I suppose is a completely 'new' race of some sort (who knows what though) - which is still in keeping with the Heroes feel. That is probably even less likely, especially since - and this applies to the lizardmen/gnolls etc. in the H3-fortress town - Ubival would have to come up with a reason why they haven't been around so far.

I'm not sure. It started floating around here suddenly - think someone uploaded it at Celestial Heavens, but not sure abouth that either. It seems to have some sort of connection to Dark Messias, as the storyline of that game depicts some sort of cataclysmic event in the future of that game, when the Dark Messias arrives in Stonehelm, which seems to fit very nicely with this "Doomstar" and the impact-crater centered in the Griffin Empire where Stonehelm is on the H5 map. However, most of it as I guess is pure speculation - but like I said, it's hardly conincidence, and if the developers took care to make something as detailed and nice-looking like this for Dark Messias, it would be decidedly odd if they chose not to let it apply for Heroes 6, when these two games take place in the same world.

Nival said 11 races?  that's interesting.  I thought it was 11 factions, but if it is races:

1) Humans: HGE, Acadamy, (Undead?)
2) Elves: Sylvan, Dungeon
3) Dwarves: Fortress
4) Naga: Temple or whatever
5) Orc/Ogre/Goblin: Stroghold
6) Demons: Inferno

Assuming Orcs and Nagas, which are both likely.

But what else?  Centaurs are in the History, and making them a nomadic faction makes sense.

7) Centaurs: Tribe/Nomads

Lizard/Dragon men are possible, esspecially with the Mythology of Heroes V:

8) Reptilian Race: Tower*

A Race based on another type of animal, such as Cats, Birds, or Wolves

9) Leonin/Avians/Werewolves: Sanctuary **

Elementalists would be human, would they not? or would they actually be the elementals?

10) Elementalists: The Conflux

Here's a thought:  There are other continents beyond Paldera, [cough]Europe[/cough] including the shrouded South [cough]Africa[/cough], the unknow East [cough]Asia[/cough] and the Continents to the west [cough]Americas[/cough]. Who says there couldn't be adventures over there?  So my thoughts are that the last expansion of 6 will feature one of the three or four other continents. On these continents, who knows?

) Rashakka?
) Gnomes/Trolls(assuming they aren't with Orcs)?
) Hobbits?
) Spiders?

By my reconing, that's 14 factions. (yay)

Now: about where they are:
Holy Griffin Empire - Capital Carlevor - Humans
Al-Shazzar (aka. The Silver Cities) - Capital Al Safir - Wizards w. Animates
Irollan - Capital Tam-Avlee - Elves
Dungeons - Capital unknown - Dark Elves
Grimheim - Capital Tor Myrdal - Dwarves
Vale Of Heresh - Capital Nar Ankar - Necromancers w. Undead
Kreegar - Capital Nessus - Demons and Devils
Thyssus - Capital Lagesh - Orcs
Hashima - Capital Nariya - Naga
Khotan - Capital Chaga-Dai - Centaur Nomads

---(At This point I stop copying of Alc)---

Broken Lands - No Capitol - Werewolves, Avians, Leonin
Challoth - (Karthal?) - Elementalists
Lost Paldera/The Blight - No Capitol - Lizardmen/Dragonmen
Somewhere in the Shrouded South - Rashakka

Somewhere in the Unkown East - Trolls, Gnomes, Hobbits, or Spiders

BUT then we have "Unclaimed" Lands: The Plains of Woe and the Isle of Wrath.

My thoughts: In the Histories it says "...Dark Elves...pact with the Faceless..." Who must still be hanging around, waiting in the shadows for the Angels to fall...and the shadows to rise...

When the Land is bruised and broken,
Beaten, Smashed and Fried,
The Shadows of the past will return,
and the stars themselves will Hide!

Why couldn't the Facless have claimed the Isle of Wrath?

Also, there are still the Dragon Knights, warriors who combated the demons, who could be out there somewhere, waiting...waiting....waiting...

Also, the Map Came from Celestial heavens, I'll look it up and get back to you.

Well this is for my next HTML book but I want to say it now, first:

The king of the wizards is Zehir (or First of the Circle), right? OK
Zehir's specialty is Master of Elements (Every time a friendly stack dies, a group of elementals enters combat at the hero's side. The number of elementals increases depending on hero level. In addition, Summon Elementals and Summon Phoenix spells cast by the hero are more powerful.) Sinse Zehir is the Master of Elements and he is First of the Circle we can't have Elemental race, right?

Hmmmm, but this is description of 1 sigle mission:

In the year 820 of the Seventh Dragon's Creation, a Wizard named Maahir from the League of the Silver Cities undertook a perilous journey to Heresh. At that time Heresh, though under the control of the Necromancers, was a fertile and pleasant land. Maahir, however, had two grim objectives in mind: Eliminate Necromancer Zoltan, associate of Belketh with whom the League towns had been at war for 7 years, and retrieve four powerful artefacts that had disappeared from the Silver Cities. Few believed that Maahir's gamble would succeed, and nobody at all would have guessed that two years later he would have defeated Belketh and become First of the Circle, the supreme Archmage of the League of the Silver Cities.

Right! We have new king, but we have Zehir too? We can't have 2 First of the Circles, right?... Zehit will die, or he will create new town, new   country for the elementals!

Hmmm now read the part prophecy 1 in my HTML book for the towns (and for the elemental town)

Why you need to believe to all my prophecies... they just are correct, all my theories are correct! For Stonehelm, for Temple structure on the original H5 map, and all the towns prophecies! Even for The new necro king! This is loading screen in Dark Messiah:

The Map in the corner! You can see Stonehelm, Heresh, and the temple! The orc temple! And it is on Island in the Doom sea! This is the story of Heroes 6! The necronamcers have new kingdom (the old one) and Govanni will become new name! Urgash! The temple is not on island, and
after the last H5 addon we will see apocalypse! (the doom star will strike Ashan!) After H6 the Heroes world - Ashan will be destroyed by the Dark Messiah, as in DM!

The Shadows of the past will return! The is the new beginning after the doom star! The H6 story you need to find old artifact the skill of
Shadows and here come the DM story!

I think this is my last prophecy, the last piece of the H6 puzzle
