Special buildings as Map objects

We all know how the "good factions" must have a home town to practice their special ability. The Knight must go home to train his peasants, the ranger must go to his avenger guild to find new bad guys, and the poor Wizard must take a break and return home to make expensive artifacts.

The "bad guys" on the other hand have no such limitations. The Demon lord can gate as much as he wants (as long he has troops), the Necro makes his archers whatsoever, and the Warlocks do not have to go home for supper to start the elemental chains.

So to even out this "unjustice", what about special buildings as map objects?
Training grounds, Avenger guilds and a place to make artifacts for the wizard on the road.
We could even be talking about flaggable necromancy amplifiers and altars of the elements.

What do you say?

The dwarves would have runic shrines, like the magic shrines.
