What's the best FPS sereies? (First-Person-Shooter)
What is the best First-Person shooter series? Let's hear some people's opinions. Some examples are Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Call of Duty... What's your favourite?

Right on! Perfectly balanced weapons!!! Iīve been playing it for more than 5 years and I still canīt say something like "this gun is superior to this one". EVERY gun has its use and depending on the situation EVERY gun can be the best.
Oh... and THE MODS, the levels!!! They kick ass! Assault rifles, Apache helicopters... Dr. Strangelove. mmm.....

assault mode... sorely missed...
I still remember beating the normandy level in 9 secs (a stray rocket and a truckload of luck)
or looking at the records and seeing that one of my friends managed to self frag with a sniper rifle... still dunno how he did that
or getting 173 headshots in Face II ...ultrakills for all!

Down with Counter-Strike!
Unreal Tournament has been one of my favourite games for a very long time. I was so happy whe nI heard Unreal Tournament III is coming out!!
 One thing I don't get is why all of the Non-Hardcoregamers prefer Counter-Strike. In Counter-Strike the battles are like 4 secs long, then you die, wait 5 minutes for the last 2 guys to find eachother, then watch them have a 4sec battle. It's not worth it, is it?
If anyone disagrees with me, please send a reply.

I agree counterstrike is terrible... everyone loves it though.
Halo and Halo 2, UT2004 is good, I've recently started playing Call of Duty 3 which is pretty fun.
I'm not a big fan of Half Life though..

9 secs? I donīt think it is even possible to get out from the raft to the land in time! Donīt you have to do the objectives in a certain order? What were the objectives on that level, btw?

Did he shoot someone who just respawned? Some sniper servers give penalties for it in the form of self-frag.

expected response... hehehe
the objective was simple, destroy the mainframe... yes there were secondary objectives (in the form of a path to the mainframe) but what seems to have been a bug, allowed for a quick win
I have sniped people in lots of different ways and never got a sniper suicide... so its unlikely its a penalty of sorts
and no, I was not playing against bots (the number of headshots is too low for that ...most bots are sitting ducks) I just was in a good period of my life, UT-wise

It is. If you play online, you will find servers that penalize you for spawn killing (many sniper servers have that mod).

If this is not simply a mistake (i.e. he forgot he was falling down as he shot the rifle), then the screenshot with a proof has got to be published for the future UT generations to marvel at!

metroid prime is definatley my favorite one

but yea, the metroid prime series is the best

Ya! Metriods are the best! I really like the Multiplayer in Metroid Prime: Hunters. All of the Metroid FPS are awesome!
