Well, since everyone seems to like the acadamy, I'll tell you why I really asked:
I'm making a 3D CG version (very detailed) of the Acadamy, and I'll try to make videoes walking through it. I'd apreciate if someone could come up with screenshots of the buildings, It'd really help.
Also, if anyone knows how/knows where you can learn how to make it so you can acually walk through it, let me know!

Sounds great, I really love the idea. And in the long run you could make for everytown

Dungeon definitely... I like the whole concept where the spires are sticking from the top of the cavern and I guess the view down into the abyss is kinda cool.
Necro would be second. The eerie quiet undead backdrop is awesome for just wandering around. Plus I'd be the only living soul around.
Academy third. Floating buildings and the architecture is a flashback to the ancient times with the magic of the arabian nights thrown into it.
The Orc town would be next. Just kinda tranquil apache teepees and everything is on different levels. looks very warlike.
Next would be a toss between staring down into the lava pools of the fortress or gazing up at the massive pillar of light in the Haven town.
Syvlan... Nice looking but I could walk into my garden for that kinda trip.
Inferno would be last. Though the buildings are cool and stuff and it would be a nice place to visit, i just would place the others above it.

Voted for Academy - I like such places! Monumental buildings in bright light, and that all hanging in the air.
As well, I would enjoy visiting Dungeon and Necropolis - both dark and mysterious. I would love to see three so big moons!
Fortress, Sylvan and Inferno(and in that order) I would visit only if I had enough time - they might be interesing (Sylvan is a garden but on a small island!).
The only town I would not like much to visit is Haven. It's boring. And to get though all these houses and streets...
I did not see orkish town so I can't tell now.

Vote for academy, imo it is the coolest town (acedemy in homm 5) ever made in homm, especially its dual ring that maybe act as an unseen barrier generator.

I would say, Stronghold and Fortress. They both seem like a great place to drink an beer, eat a steak and get caught in a bar-room brawl.

Yeah, the new Orc town. I think we can be quite sure that it will be called Stronghold.

I've choosed Academy. It's best lookin' town for me. I just love those clouds and rings movin' around it...
You have feeling as if u were flying when you open town screen while playin' Academy...

Yeah, i have that feeling too. For me, those moving rings is the most appealing thing about academy.

Does anyone know if there is a program to convert .xdb files (what Ubi uses) into something else? It would really speed up my work.

Isn't the .xdb file just another ending for a text file? I think you can simply rename it .txt, or you can open the .xdb directly with notepad?

Yes it's just a text/xml file, you can open it with any text editor.

yes, directly with notepad, its renamed txt so you can do everything in it. but why the hell there are post like those in this topic?!
