Maretti answered no.4 correctly. It is Septienna.

All others are not correct.
Nice idea with the phoenix binabik, but that's not what I was looking for.

Maretti's answer to No.2 is not correct, but I think he has the right idea...

Maybe a little more info for no.1 to make it more clear:
The enemy stack moved FIRST, then both stacks of Grandelves had their turn.

number 1 : One of the Grand Elves stack has only 1 shot left. So that stack only shoot once.

number 3 : Enchanter or Master Genie

Maretti answered no.2 correctly. (Ghost dragons have the biggest damage range)
No.3 is still not correct. Oasis gives a fixed number of movement tiles each visit. So the percentages would be different if Kyrre visits it, or Sanya.....

No.1 is still not correct. Even if a shooter has only 1 shot left, he will shoot twice. (Can be read in the "Not in the manual" thread)

I guess it's wrong again, but let's  try ...

1) There was an obstackle between the enemy stack and one of the Grand Elves, so they got a penalty

3) Sylvia entering a boat

Still no.1 and no.3 is yet to solve.

Hint for no.1:
Not the battlefield, but the type of enemy stack is important. It wouldn't work against every unit.....

Hint for no.3:
Maybe we don't look for a hero at all?

3: Well, an increase by 54.54% fits with increasing speed from 11 to 17. So I started thinking something like 'moving from some terrain with penalty to a road'.
But my guess is: Upgrading Devils to Archdevils. The 'one step' is the upgrade which is done off the battlefield.

2: I would still say that the air elemental is less reliable than the bone dragon.

1: The stack was petrified?

Ecoris answered no.3 correctly. A hero with a devil in his army takes 1 step and visits a hillfort. Archdevils have a 54.54% increased speed.

No.2 would be correct if u talk about percentage, but not refering to full damage. Range of 6 and range of 25.

No.1 is a good idea, but still not what I was looking for. It is much easier than u all think I guess. So let's make it like this:
The SECOND stack of Grandelves dealed lesser damage (and they shot AFTER the first stack shot..).
It has nothing to do with terrain, spells, resistances or anything like that. Maybe it is just too obvious....lol.

No, it says "In 1 particular round, both Grand Elves stacks shot before the enemy stack moved", so that would make both Grand Elves stacks allies, and the enemy a third stack.

I does not say anywhere, however, that the stacks of Grandelves were of equal size.

Not in the opening post, but 2 posts later I added that, coz someone had the idea of different stack size...

The enemy was a shooter? Shot at the second stack of grandelves, the grandelves had their turn, first dealed more damage because there were more grandelves.

I just changed that to make clear, both stacks of elves had their turn right after each other, and the enemy stack moved before them, so they didnt petrify them or any other special attack.

The solution is easier than all of u thought I guess:
The enemy stack was a 2-hex unit.  Both grandelf stacks had full arrow on the first hex, but broken arrow on the 2nd hex. Happened to me by mistake a few times. First grandies hit with full damage, coz they aimed the first hex, while the 2nd stack dealed half damage coz they aimed on the "back"-hex.

I just took a short look into HC today from an internet cafe, coz I am away on vacation right now (without internet). When I will return, I will create a new thread like that.

A 2-hex unit... While I can't recall making that mistake myself (usually I just miss the attack and move right next to the unit instead) I remember something about that now.
