Well I edited this post to remind you the best homm and the best turn-based strategy game ever produced! This isn't other but Heroes of Might and Magic 2. I'm still playing it after 9 years when i discovered it one day in 1998! It was a very well designed game it was many years in front of it's age it's one and only!

I think that HOMM2 is the best game, yes HOMM3 is really good, but my favourite is HOMM2, best HOMM in the series.
And shouldn't this be in another forum? ____________

Heroes II is best in the series. It's like Final Fantasy series. They keep making new ones and how great the new versions looks like or what new things it will bring. Favorite game is still the one you remember the series best from. Heroes II is that game for me in HoMM series.
when i used to play heroes 2 i remember hearing about version 3 and thinking that i never would switch over. i was convinced it couldnt get better than 2. however, i sure enough started playing 3 and still do to this day.
overall i think heroes 3 is the best but heroes 2 was the most significant version.. version 2 was an amazing game for its time so much of version 3 was improvements over version 2.
