Closest Game Ever?
SO I am curious if anyone has ever seen a game so close hehe. I wish I had some screenshots to show.
Map Ability : Cycleguy -- Necro
Destro23 -- Inferno
I used Grok, cycle had lucretia
Heroes meet in middle on week 4 day 5 (after a slightly irritating sim turn drop) So the fight proceeds
After some rounds of combat the last devil hits the table with cycleguy as the winner and in his army remaining is...
1 SPECTER! thats it.. nothing more.
So anything out there ever got that close lol?

I wanna se this (I've several close games too but not so close)
Must have been very exciting (to bad we can't make "incombat" movies..... well... we actually can do that but thats another case)
I've made several "incombat" movies but that need so much resources thats I'm afarid that it will kill the sync in the game therefore so far I've only made them when I play single player.....

Not want to ruin ur moment but that kind of situation shouldn't happened if something close to that happens a player should retreat leaving very few units with the enemy as well and try to think of a new tactic to beat him ,that is basically a draw only you lost it cuz u didn't retreat.

Thats true, I could retreat and refuel for round 2. And maybe would have come out on top.
But... it was 5 ish hours into game, getting sleepy, and well that result was satisfactory for me

That was a very close game, you failed to meantion that you had no mana, I would have hated to see how badly I would have been beaten had you had your full 170mana lol

I remember my superclose game with cycleguy, where our first main battle with our main heroes had his damned specters down to 5 or so. I kept missing the hits on those nasty things. Man it was so close. But I retreated, and then we had another battle a few weeks later, he retreated, then a 3rd main hero battle, a 4th, and a final fifth defending my castle where I finally lost. It went back and forth so much, I was not prepared to surrender. But man does those specters suck. 50% chance of missing my ass! More like 85%.

Heck, feels like 95% to me! In a game vs fiur I had 20 misses in a row (yeah, I counted). I was wondering that maybe Naathir, being a ghost specialist in a sense, gives ghosts some sort of bonus, making them harder to get hit?
Back on topic, I had many close games, not that close though . Game vs karim, necro vs necro I was left with only 8 zombies. Vs sq79, inferno vs sylvan I was left with a single devil and a nightmare. In both cases above I was sieging enemy castle so they couldn't retreat.

The game uses a counter (i.e a variable) to count the number of misses or hits.
If there are 3 in a row, the fourth one will ALWAYS be a hit (or a miss if there are 3 hits in a row).. That's how the game works.
So you either counted wrong, or lied

I have missed 5 in a row before. Its not impossible, just gotta be extremely unlucky. But after many misses, for example.. i can get 2-3 hits in a row.
Those spectres are the most irritating creatures i fight 
I also remember i had game in bfh, taking the gold mine with dungeon and 4 stacks of stone elementals all got moral. Considering its 10x10x10x10 chance
That's almost = striking lottery
So nothing is impossible

Sometimes I have wins on row or lost on row. The luck is a big part of the game and cause of that the game is so exciting. When you have no luck and you are losing because of that - it hurts but when you win it is great! Once I suicide alot, lose many creatures, but the Dragon Utopia was full with artifacts, and I win

I'm curious where do you have such info from, because I'm 100% certain, that I missed much much more than 3 times in a row. Ask Fiur

Yes thats correct, you cant miss or hit more then 3 times in a row. That was done in a patch tough and before that it was possible. I cant remember which patch.

Well first of all don't call Betruger an LIAR and yes here is what happend.... We was playing the map Ability He was Academy Leading By Havez..... I raised alot of Ghost (and I also had 80 Spectres....)
and as Betruger did I also counted alot of misses and sure he missed more than 3 times in a row!!!! (I pakced in his Titans with ghost/Spectres and for sure in missed them more than 3 times in a row, yes I mean the same unit not the all of them!), This could have been a "bug" just in this game..... I've played Naadir alot and then my ghost can't stand more than 3 misses in a row.... (the lastest was today on the same map..... )
In that game against Betruger I can feel his "anger" but he won (his troop was just to powerful..... but if we was more close to each other well.... then this could trigger the whole thing....)

Hehe, i guess, that was just probability accident, because of the "Miss 's counter" is used for all stacks of ghosts/spectres, so if you have even 1 hit on raised ghost (or any other ghost stack), then "miss's counter" fall to zero and next blow on any ghost/spectres could become a miss.

my closest game ever was when I tried to break the horde of archdevils on Battle for Honor; I almost won.
