Did TotE improve Elemental Chain? When I look in the console it says damage modifier 1.3. So does this mean elemental vision starts you off at 30% extra damage instead of 10%?

Each level of irresistible spells gives now 10% instead of 5% bonus. Pretty good and noticeable.

Skill/perks priority for dungeon:

Expert destruction - master of fire, secrets of destruction, ignite
Expert enlightenment - intelligence, eagle eye, the one that gives +2     spellpower, NOT mana

Only after you get those you try to get something else, depending on what you're facing.
1. logistics-swift mind, then sorcery and luck-warlocks luck vs academy, inferno, heaven, necro, dwarves
2. logistics-swift mind, attack-tactics, sorcery vs elves
3. dark/light, sorcery, summoning, vs orcs


You dont need to take +mana perks, because your goal should be to have extreme spellpower, not great knowledge. Depending on what secrets of destruction gives you, you build mage guild and get back to town. If SoD gives you fireball, DONT build mage guild until you've built every other creature-dwelling, and DONT get back to town, just continue creeping.

I see.  Thanks for another great tip Mr. Samie!

All these times I am wrong focusing so much on knowledge.  I thought more mana is better than having more spellpower.  Because I feel I cannot creep well and fight the enemy if I have a bit less mana so I always make knowledge as my priority.  Well, now I know.

good tips samiekl, I pretty much think the same way, although +2 knowledge perk was quite useful with yrwanna a few times (I played a map with little wells, can't remember which but without mass mana at start my creeping would be rather slow - I couldn't rely on furies too much because I got a lot of ranged creeps here and there).

Thats when stalkers get in. They are decent fighters and can kill shooters very easy, with losses of course, but you dont need them much later. I never destroy creeps early with magic only. Learn to save mana and you'll be ok. I dont remember if i ever had problems with mana, unless i didnt pay attention. Dungeon is not the kind of faction that can be played in the "cover your weakness" way. Extreme spellpower and high attack its the only chance dungeon has.
So, for people who dont like this kind of play (fast, agressive and risky) i suggest picking other faction.

they weren't those kind of shooters you can get with stalkers only I know how to preserve mana, don't worry.

I'm unaware of a TotE version for hourglass, maybe it's a personal mod that hasn't gotten on the download sites yet?.

There's been a lot of talk about warlocks getting completely ownaged by dark spells. So I propose that a the racial perk Dark Ritual be changed to a skill that does the following: Warlock's troops gain 1% (or even 2%)magic resistance per point of spell power. Combined with magic resistance from luck and some arties you can get about 50% resistance. This at least gives you a chance against dark spells.

If you're lucky enough to get firewall (mage guild lvl 3 or secrets of destruction) and ignite early you can take on any shooter with just magic and stalkers except maybe rune patriarchs.

Stalker/black dragon hit and run tactic is too overpower imo. In fact, if you rush early, there's no need to hit and run. Just 7 stalkers will own everything in the way.I just played a game of battle of honor vs Sylvan and the 7 stalkers tactic did very well all the way to his base , i never even need to run. I think there's a need for an item that can see invisible? Shackle will prevent this hit and run tactic and even make him lose his main hero but if you can clear all in 3 turns then you won't need to run.

Btw if there's no tote version of hourglass , can someone upload the normal one to a non speedyspace site pls?

melee warlocks get owned by dark, but who even tries to make full-melee warlock nowadays?

I just wish it was possible. Anyway an artifact that can dispel invisibility is not needed, all factions have their ways. Aoe, cotn, rain of arrows, charging their units ahead etc.

Considering avengers guild, a warlock doesn't need to split his stalkers, just keep them in one stack and 20-30 of them should be enough to wipe out sylvain with spells provided you have something better than eldrich arrow.

CotN is not likely to happen, because it means oponent has lvl5 mage guild AND expert dark. Necro is the only reasonable candidate for that, but even necro won't probably have mage guild lvl 5 until end of week 3 or early week 4.
