Another random question from a not so good Dungeon player.  Can they get last stand.  If so, wouldn't that bring back Armeggeddon hit and run.  They would survive (with 1 hp) and all the dungeon player would loose is 6 stalkers...not a bad trade off if you ask me.

Hitandrunning your opponent will annoy him and maybe he wont play with you anymore. Plus, if your opponent is smart enough (and this doesnt imply shackles), you wont be able to hitandrun.

I love shackles. The bane of many overconfident dungeon boneheads.

Boneheads? It is required after some point unless you are an expert.

I don't get it, so people just stop playing with you for losing due to some of the opponents strategies? I's nonsense. Both players might get the oportunity to do the same things so why should anyone stop playing. Looks more like fear, may I say.

Uh huh. Just like you would continue playing a person that attacks you with an archangel, casts implosion and surrenders in H3. Multiple times. Yep it's fear, guilty as charged.

People hate "cheese". If you play hit'n'run as your main strategy, they won't play with you after a couple of games anymore. Those types of strategies are considered "gay" in almost any game, from heroes to warcraft. You can win a lot of games in the latter just by massing towers, tanks and mass expands with human, then just snipe the bases without any "real" fight at all, but it's tiresome for both players in the long run. So while I scored a lot of wins with warlockish "gayness", I ultimately changed the strategy. Not that it matters anymore since the gameplay evolved, but..

You think you will survive if you try to pull this off against a good player? That's for creeping mostly.

Or you flee before you meet them Anyway others have good flaming arrows which is just as easy. Hopefully H6 will not be dependent on such strategies and require a little bit more thought. And to be frank mana management and skills to continue creeping with invisibility is harder than ballista and tent.

i wouldn't know that, never liked warmachines so i never pick the skill, even with the barbarians, my first pick was Kragh and stayed with him, with deffence instead of warmachines;

I've played a couple of random maps with dungeon against comps on hard to see how invisibility creeping works and it was almost like cheating compared to creeping with the barbarians and even against the AI's heroes tough their units sometimes walked out of the firewall

and i'm talking about a lvl1 unit steamrolling over anything; if it were only on the mistress it would be easier to swallow, high level unit with great special, but a lvl1? on the other hand it does kinda fit with the warlocks playstyle of destructive magic masters but still, its only a lvl1 unit; maybe reduce the number of turns the stalkers can remain invisible but thats for another thread

The lvl 1 unit don't steamroll everything. Its your hero that does it. Early game ,you could pull off the same thing with 7 scouts or deep hydras, sure you might lose a couple of scouts but who cares. The imbalances comes mid-late game where you can no longer pull off without been invisible or bringing more tanks. But then which other race dont' have their own imbalances when it comes to creeping?
And for warlock early game , you really need to manage your mana because you start with a miserable 1 knowledge and if you get unlucky , you might be stuck with 1 for many levels until you get a knowledge item or secrets or the building. On the other hand , a ballista user do not have to worry about this , their shots are unlimited and they get replaced if destroyed.

Geeez, where do you know that from? Any ReadMe aviable?
What's more, there's one warlock strategy I think most of you have considered...
Armaggedonist is now makeable and no need to hit-n-die XD Oh and it has full Irresisstable Magic O_O
How to make him? Just fight Academy with whole your army (as you know you won't be able to kill everybody there by spells only). When it comes the first day of the week- leave you whole army in garrison and hire megnetic golems...
Now, there comes pure fun XD
Build:
Exp. Racial- All perks (Arma eats loads of mana so even Dark Ritual is handy... Also it allows very funny buff to be choosen)
Exp. Destr. Magic- MOF; SOD; Ignite
Exp. Luck- Magic Resistance; Soldier's Luck, Warlock's Luck
Basic Enlightment- Intelligence
Exp. Sorcery- Erratic; Arcane Training
Exp. Logist (or Adv. Logist depends on map)- Scouting; Swift Mind (you have to preserve your little golems, becasue they are quite fragile without defense bonus)

Oh, one thing more- remeber that even when golems can heal in destructive and so on there is a bug which LOWENS their defense because of MASTER OF FIRE ability.

If the map is really big you can develop enlightment more...
I know that this build is just obvious while one of your enemies is Academy, but maybe someone didn't notice it XD

Anyway, with a bit of luck- Armaggedonist has now a great chance to show his/her real powers

Magnetism
Finding itself under an area spell of Destruction Magic together with any friendly stacks, this creature assumes some

is this the armageddon spell from h5 v1.0 where it didn't hurt your own troops that your talking about?

Apparently they are immune to armageddon. No healing, but no damage as well.
