To Sha Men

It seems that you, Mr Sha 'I don't play Heroes anymore' Men like to talk about a form of honour when playing an online game that you know very very little about. You could count the amount of online games you played on three fingers I bet, yet you insist upon calling me dishonourable. And don't come up with excuses about dial up fees and stuff. Please, if you want to talk about the honour that's involved in playing a game like Heroes with someone all the way across the other side of the world, then at least act like you know.

I couldn't give two bits if I played drunk or not. I would have lost that game and still reported. I did not behave in any way that was untoward or aggressive nor did I try and cheat. I couldn't care less about winning games or losing them, the only thing that I give a crap about is all of us having fun.

I was drunk. Big hairy deal!!! Do you have any IDEA how many people have a DRINK on their BIRTHDAY?! Or any day for that matter?

I played the game and I won. Never would I have used to excuse that 'I was drunk' had I have lost the game (which I very nearly did). I never have excuses for losing. Your suggestion of me playing drunk as being dishonourable is unwarranted. You don't know how I play, who I play or when I play, but if I was a dishonourable player, then let all those ToH players who know me come forward and support your claim. Or those Myths players. Or those HeroesKingdom members.

I play the game Sha. You don't play it anymore. You differentiate between online honour and real life honour. I say honour is honour and you insulting me like that and trying to stain MY online gaming reputation (you've done it in TWO different threads now) is something I don't take kindly to. I work hard to be a fair player, a fun player, win or lose and you're just trying to destroy it. I may not have a high record, but I do have one, and I take pride in the fact that I am always honourable, and I always give it my best, drunk or not.

Shae Trielle...

Read Zsa's message...
I think the same way about you as he thinks about me.

Maybe my message was little bit aggressive. I didn't meant it like that.

What comes to your online gaming, it's not my business. Neither is my online gaming to yours. You seem to be put lot of value to how many games one has played online. I don't give damn how many games one has played and what others said about person how honorable he is.
I do my own conclusions.

What comes to playing drunk...
I don't drink and I have played hotseat game where all the others were drunk. Well...it was fun but not serious gaming and I didn't really care if one gave up or not.

And I didn't mean it that you would ever use excuse (to being drunk) if you would have lost the game. I only said if one is drunk he can use it as great excuse.

Yes I don't play HoMM3 anymore but I could end up playing HoMMIV and these issues are as valuable with that game (Other games too).

Well, this might be a useless reply, since I have never played Heroes online, but I can tell you what I do when I play against the comp.

If my main hero is beaten, I tend to have a fit . As easy as that. I pound on things in the immediate vicinity and quit the game. Especially when I've spent four months or something building up an army and then encounter some ridiculous army with Zounds of Archangels and all that crap.
I believe I would behave differently, though, facing a human opponent (alot of my rage is directed towards the computer, I never (well, rarely, anyway ) get angry with other people.

I give up

when "the odds are overwhelming". If a hero comes with an army 2-3 times more than mine, the further attempts are futile! I agree with DVZ, she had a valid point. I would rather replay the map than go on.

*watches Sha and Shae from a corner

and is really amused* You are are just GORGEOUS! And I think being drunk is a good excuse to lose a game... only if you find a good excuse for being drunk anyway. ;-)

Just pulling your legs, sorry for spamming.

Bump...

Just to show you guys how old I am, my last post in this thread mentioned DIAL-UP!

Been a long time, I'm not a ToHer anymore and neither do I clan, but does anyone here still play HoMM3 and if they do, do they quit? I had forgotten all about this thread and shame on me, but I've been quitting a lot of games recently, lol, but they've all been against the AI!

hi Shae, wb
lot's of players still play homm3 SOD or homm3 TE on Gamespy. Each day 20-30 players are online, most people come at 16.00 - 20.00 GMT. Games are reported into World Cup league and you can see latest games at WCL (All games / Statistics pages)

Hi Shae. First of all i want to tell you, that your way of putting the question is ridiculous.

Actually you mock at the people, that gives up. My first impression is of a boy, who use very patetic words.

Yes, i give up a lot. Not quiting, because its a lack of respect towards your opponent. But i do conceive losses.

When i do it, its always with the presumption, that its the shortest way to a new game.

I give up, when i dont feel i control the game. Mainly its wneh you loose main battle. 95% of the times when i loose main battle i accept defeat.

The practice shows, that its almost impossible to turn the game after you lose main battle. And if you continue to play its nothing more than a waste of time and the game is a joke. For me its not serious. Its better to start new game.

Offcourse, i can figure it out if i have chances - like a lot of army in castle, good spells or whatever. But in reallity its rarely the case.

So in short: its better to accept defeat and not waste time on pure agony, so you can start new game, when you can control your game.
