Maybe he should get another one for storytelling skills

Something generally on topic: At first I had not paid much attention and thought that maybe Phenrig, Sareth's mentor could be neutral. The more I think about it the more obvious it looks that he is a demon cultist.

One lead could be in the ubi monthly might&magic issues where they said the demon cultists hid and took care of the demon messiah. But playing the game again there are hints.
He knew Menelag's expedition, why and where the shantiri crystal could be used. I'm pretty sure he did not want to destroy it, he intended Sareth to use it and free the Sovereign.
Either because he was unsure he could be trusted or because he wanted to ensure the mission's success he gave Sareth a companion, Xana. He obviously knew her, what she was and where her loyalties lay. If he wanted the gate to be sealed he wouldn't have given a demonic ally.
I would also suspect his rivalry with Arantir who wanted to stop the prophecy but I'm not sure if he knew his intentions.

Quite a few coincidences. I would not be surprised if Biara mentioned him, after all throughout HoF we know nothing of the messiah. Either the Sovereign has him or he has already entrusted him in someone's care. What I still have not figured out is why Biara would need Nicolai's nephew, Andrei. As a guess he might be tied to Falcon blood as that's the dynasty the demons must eliminate to be successful.

I think there it is

               Asha
                 |
              Sylath
                 |
              Wyvern
                |
          |                |
      Pao Kai        Venom Wyvern

Wyvern: Bite
Pao Kai: Lightning
Venom: Acid Breath (think Green Dragon)

Also: I'm guessing that the Nephew is connected to Nicolai, and they want to drain his blood in order to do something (powerup an uber demon?) at the solstice/full moon/new moon/eclipse etc. and then wipe out the Griffin Empire, the Necromancers, and then the Wood Elves, Mages, Dwarves, and Nagas.  Lastly come the Orcs- [stops]

Oh.  My.  Goddess.

I think I've got it.  They want to create not an uber demon, but an uber orc!  they drain the blood and create an Orc who can infiltrate the good orcs, but has demon modifications that allow him/her to use chaos magic, and lay waste to the world to prepare it for the conquetst of the Dark Messiah and then the Demon Soverign.

Okay, can Warcraft just be deleted?  They steal every good idea, and people who come up with it innocently don't know and get blamed for it! GHA on Blizzard!

Tell me about it.  The end of Warcraft III is something of a ripoff of the Twilight of the Gods in Norse mythology, and I'm beginning to think that Arthas was a subtle clone of Lord Haart.

The Night Elves, Orcs and Humans teamed up to fight the Undead after having a chat with some guy who can turn himself into a crow from time to time.  Archimonde, Azeroth's equivalent of the Demon Sovereign/Darth Vader/Lich King Gryphonheart/(insert ubervillian here), verrrrry slowly made his way up a large mountain towards the World Tree, the biggest tree in all Azeroth, and some sort of life-giving entity on the side.  As soon as our fifty-foot chum reached the base of the Tree, poised to dig it up or something, a Night Elven Druid named Furion came along and blew him up using twelve thousand floating lights called Wisps.  Then Mister Crow, deciding his task was finally over, disappeared off to God knows where.

I'm serious.

Ah, I remember now.  And that's why in WOW (which I have played, and will rant about in 2 minutes) the Night elves are all "oh, the tree is dead" (I'm like, what tree!??!!?) "We must restore immortality!" (I've known you for two minutes, and I don't like you.  I really don't want you living forver.)

To Elvin and daystar:

If I remember the story, they original wanted Andrei dead, with Nicolai and Andrei no one had royal blood to take the throne - Then they could infect Isabell and create the DEMON MESSIAH!!! (ARGH - Flee run in terror, he wields both Chaos and order magic! ARGH) , while they leave the Griffin Empire in chaos(no king and all) - they could easily take them out...

Sadly they lost Andrei , which the dwarves got

Andrei is not mentioned before HoF and the demons were not after those of royal blood - just Nicolai that was the king and would temporarily weaken the mens' efforts. Isabel was marked from the day of her birth, destined to give birth to the messiah who has nothing to do with Andrei. The dwarves returned the boy to the demons and we now wait to see what happens.

i just started wondering. ToF is gonna make getting ultimate skills easier, but i wonder will they improve some of them? i mean even if something like unstoppable charge would be easier to get, quite frankly i wouldn't bother to plan my skill build just for skill that quite frankly sucks then on the other hand we have skills like absolute protection and nature's luck :x which are gonna be insane if they are really easy to get.

I think (and pray) they will change some of them, I seem to recall reading something that indicated it would be the case also. Nature's Luck requiring only three skills would be insane.

Wasn't he spoken of in Original? - And still why not take out the one who can take over the throne?

And Daystar, in the campaign you follow the good dwarves - Sadly the others act evil! But well we did kill their king , so guess they are not a big part of TotE

I did not find the others evil. Tolghar the king was weak willed and insecure so he could easily be manipulated by his advisor Hangvul(?). The advisor acted for the good of the dwarves even if that meant some good people died because of that. He gave the boy to the fake Isabel because he was besieged both by the haven forces and the dark elves. If you see things logically it was a safe move. A manipulating bastard with a purpose
