No, as far as I know you will always need a basic ability to get the advanced ones - for instance, Tripple Ballista will always require Ballista ability, but perhaps for some faction both Ballista > Tripple Ballista, Catapult > Brimstone Rain, and First Aid > Plague Tent might be an option - depending on what you favor.

I tend to think that having more strategic choices is a good thing. For example, why would Triple Ballista/Catapult, or a very useful ability like Snatch, be restricted to one faction? I think it's good that all heroes can access them, with some having easier requirements.

Like Alcibiades, I like that we'll be able to gain advanced abilities from not only one, but 2 or 3 basic abilities. True, it could make it harder to plan a specific development, but that will have to be tested. And the special adventure location allowing to forget abilities should help as well. We can't judge how it will turn out without testing.

Yes, having more abilities to choose from is a good thing but at the same time faction unique abilities should still exist, and not just in the racial skill path.  For example warlock's luck should remain a warlock ability and not be accessible to other factions.

But yes, Snatch could be useful for others and there isn't anything inherently fortressy about it.  Divine guidance on the other hand should stay only with the knight IMO.

Snatch - Is only for the Fortress! Look they have small legs which many others dont! And they need snatch because walking those few meters is though!! So Let them have it!! Forge and fire

I wanted to write the same thing. The skills heavily connected to one hero (warlock's luck, yea) should remain class-exclusives. Divine guidance, come on, how on earth demons or necromancers can use that? It's ridiculous and completely doesn't fit their background. As for the neutral skills, like snatch, well, it's ok to make them a choice for every faction, I guess, because with 2% chance of logistics for dwarves, the skill was extremely rare to see anyway.

I think that a few skills should just stay only for one faction cause its simply more replay value that way .
Still if they introduce some new skills that are for only one faction then it will be fine for me

On those specific ones I will agree. It's the general idea that I like and as you say it just does not fit. Still I will be sure to enjoy using them.

About Divine Guidance ... Remember, that Divine does not necessarily imply anything good. You can receive Divine Guidance from an evil or chaotic deity as well as from a good one.

As for Warlock's Luck ... Yes, they should perhaps change the name. Just like Elven Luck or Dwarven Luck will remain only with appropriate factions.

As long as strong abilities like Empathy are not too easy to obtain I'm all happy about more choices.

Actually im quite happy that there will be more skills accesable for the factions... never liked it that fortress had preperation and empathy and no one else had that... empathy would just be plain godly for Warlocks^^ which would make Kythra or leadership more interesting again. I just hope that the skill choice won't be too random ok you allways have to be lucky but now you got to be a little bit more lucky/planing.
