Siiiigh... maybe someone can help me out I haven't found out yet if the Goblin Trappers ability is effected by "Soldiers Luck" as far as I've come I don't see that the Traps effected is in any way connected to stack number... I still stoped 10 Palas with the Trap of one Goblin.
Soldiers Luck: Guarantees that useful creature abilities in hero's army will trigger more often + the ability is given a second chance to trigger so does it count for every tile or isn't it affected at all? Anyone any guesses?

I can't tell. When even single goblin trappers can stop larger stacks it  would take much testing to find out. I believe that the less goblins there are the less they MAY decrease the speed and have less chance to stop altogether.

I had a similar thougth but when 539 Trappers lay a trap and 39 Footmen aren't even effected at all after walking right into it with the first step I'm kind of confused about the probability of the effected...

I tend to observe that bigger stacks make traps that trigger more often.
The probabilty for a trap to trigger seems higher but it's never 100%. Also even a stack of 1 goblin has a chance at making a trap that will completely stop the enemy. So overall the difference in this efficiency doesn't seem that great. I think that 2 traps made by 2 stacks of 1 trapper will actually work better than 1 trap made by a big trapper stack.

That's why I use a big stack and 3 single trappers. I use the single ones to trap the units I'm focusing on and it seems to work better. Having 2 traps in the line the opponent will walk is very efficient.

Can anyone confirm this:

Vermin can not drain mana if there is no friendly spell caster to send the mana to.

wrong! its an activated ability and you dont need a frendly cast to use it.

It will drain Mana but it will not give it to your hero if there are no spellcasters. Don't see how they are more useful than the Familiars especially now where you can get Counterspell. In order to drain more than the Familiars you'd have to get to drain three times without being attacked before that... seems very unrealistic to me.

Since it's activated its gate would not be able to drain too right? if so that's very bad.

I think the best unit is the Stalker because it has way higher stats ...shame they have that poor weekly grouth. Still I preffer quality over quantity!

Stalker:
12 initiative,3-5 dmg + claw and blood rage,6 speed,15 HP,and poisonous atack...they beat the living hell out of your little vermin .

Well in theory vermin are better just because of the large weekly growth. The assasins/stalkers are the most powerful tier one. but they have the least damage per weekly growth i think.

This mechanics will be documented in the ToE manual that we will release when ToE comes out. I'm sorry that I cannot share more now, but there are only a few days left to wait.

I never trust wikipedia.  Anyone know the source of all that info?

Edit: well for some reason my vermin weren't draining even when I pressed siphon mana.  It just did nothing and remained the vermin's turn.  Maybe the enemy hero had run out of mana but I doubt it.

Well... I'm sorry but the only diffrence between the Familiar and the Vermin is that the base damage got lowered and increased by 1...So they do the same average damage but the consequences are that the Vermin will deal 1+ Damage times stack if blessed (what will allmost NEVER happen to you) and will deal only half of the Familiars damage if cursed (never not happend to me when you play inferno). They have one more speed than the Familiars which allows them to reach the enemies big creatures with tactics/winstriderboots in the first turn... that is not really good because their Special is activated! So you'll have to choose either drain or die. Hmmm difficult one. Well if you think the Vermins are better feel free but I find it hard say that they are actually better than the Familiars... Familiars are sooo much more helpful for Inferno...

The gated Vermins are able to drain but again they will not give the drained Mana to the hero if there is no spellcaster arround.

According to gamefaqs, the game is more or less simultaniously released in america, australia and europe between the 10th and 12th of October. Don't know if that is any more reliable than wikipedia though.

@George: you are right Stalkers are better:
All of those things thet i said befor+Recruitment+Aura of Swiftness+Invisibility=Best level 1 unit. Actualy white Aura of Swiftness Dungeon dont need any shooters becase the Blood Wich, the Black Dragon and the Grim Raider will by eiabel to reach enemy lins .
