Super Paper Mario

This game is going to be released in the US tomorrow April 10th.

Though this game might not be called game of the year, it is without a doubt going to be the second best game to be released for the Wii so far.

IGN gave it a whopping 8.9 out of 10, where some reviewers gave it a 9 out of 10 or more!

I'm gonna go buy this tomorrow for sure.

So I went out and bought it today

Its fun! And they did a really great job with it, the whole "flipping" thing is a really neat addition, and they threw in quite a few fun treats along with that.

I can't comment too much on teh gameplay yet - as my 10 yr old boy won't let his old ma have a turn... but it's almost his bedtime muahahahaha! (Glad I get to set that rule) So will tell you more later.

Davis gives it two thumbs up though

Damn, this game is definitely a 9 out of 10. So addicting.

It's one of the best games I've played since Zelda. Hands down best game for the Wii since Zelda. I can't wait for summer either. So many amazing games on the way.

Yeah I agree... it looks like we'll be buying a few of them, I'm pretty impressed with the wii - and especially with super paper mario!

You can tell they really put a lot into making this a really good game - a lot of sequels drop the ball, but this one seems to just keep getting better

It's a RPG platforming game that also has a heavy puzzle solving element to it. Trust me the paper comic book looking graphics work amazingly well for a game like this.

It plays a lot like MapleStory. You get abilities and characters to join your party. This game I'd have to say is probably a better game than Zelda. I haven't touched Twilight Princess for months, but Paper Mario I'd want to play through again and again.

But even the boss battles are pretty cool. There's tons of side quests and its short enough and simple enough where you'd want to master it. For the hardcore gamer and hell even the not so hardcore gamer this game is freaking amazing.

You give it a few months and this will be called one of the greatest Mario games only falling short of Super Mario 64.

Imagine Super Mario Brothers 1 on crack with an RPG element and a hilarious plotline. The game is just so funny. Probably the funniest game I've ever played. Anytime Bowser says anything or even does anything it's usually a riot. Like even him just breathing fire, it sounds like a guy just going RAWWWWWWR.

Hilarity factor of Bowser = 115/100

Trust me though TA, the graphics are superb in this game. And the cartoony graphics really fit the game perfectly. It's not like Windwaker. In fact I'd say the graphics are 9/10. Not the greatest graphics ever, but they are definitely really cool.

The last world is probably the simplest graphics you'll ever see, but it's what makes the world so cool and difficult to spot things even when you flip to 3D.

I'd probably say this is better than 8.9 out of 10. For me this is probably 9.3 or 9.4 out of 10. It could have been longer and some of the mazes could have been a bit more intricate and crazy like some of the temples in Zelda, but overall it didn't affect the goodness of the game for me.

Perhaps the reason I loved this game so much is that I really had no expectations when I was going to play it. It's a game completely unlike any other game ever created. The puzzles were incredibly unique and different. I really gotta say they did a good job.

out of curiosty, whats the new zelda on Wii like? The one wit realistic graphics

Twilight Princess is a very very good game. I'd give it a 9.5 or 9.6. It would be a 10 out of 10 if the enemies were smarter or at least more threatening. The other problem is that every dungeon is full to the brim with hearts, so every room you enter, you basically get almost all your hearts back. And you can exit the room and reenter and all the hearts come back.

So aside from the puzzles, Twilight Princess I feel is too easy. The other issue is that the bosses really show more or less no threat. If you have any clue as to what you are doing, meaning as long as you know how to run around like a chicken with its head cutoff, you'll be able to  avoid pretty much any attack the boss throws at you. The only time I ever died was because I was in the final fight for 30 minutes and couldn't figure out what to do. I was hit probably 50 or 60 times throughout the fight.

It was a bit of a disappointment in that aspect, but overall the length of the game, the plot, the puzzles and the unique aspects of the game made it definitely one of the best Zelda games ever.

Ocarina of Time probably still beats it simply due to the more difficult boss fights and smarter enemies. In ocarina of time you had to know what the enemies were going to do and have some sort of timing to beat them. But in Twilight Princess, you basically didn't need any timing. For most of the enemies you could just slash at them and they'd all die. For the more difficult enemies, you could basically just roll behind them and that was really the only effective way to beat them and it was a cheap and mindless way to do it without really getting hit.
