Dougal returns to the battlefield. He's fighting agints Rion.

He kills 20 paladins, but then suddenly, he get a deadly wound. The ghoul servants take him to the First Aid Tent.
There's and Anceint High Ranking Necromancer, a Dark Priest, a skilled Alchemyst and Healer: Dreggar the Nammuk. Dreggar is an Archlich.

Dreggar: hmm, my my. Whe had an incident, didn't we?
Dougal: yes, that pesky paladins... and that idiot Rion.
Dreggar: it wasn't your fault, Death Knight. This is Rion's fault, and the paladins fault.

Dreggar heals Dougal, and Dougal returns to the Battlefield.

Dagda Mor notice something on a hill not too far away. He gather some of his most loyal demons (Reaper, Changeling and furies), the throng of demons run against the top. When Dagda mor reach there, with Reaper just after himself, he point his staff against the closest horde of paladins. Several of them goes down in the first rush of fire, and they prepare their defence against this new enemy. Reaper move with extreme speed into the middle of the paladins, several of them try to block him. They were crushed with the powerful claws of the killer. Dagda Mor were fighting, blocking every slash or stab with his Doom Staff or the fire. He stabbed the staff into the earth, and roared...

"Fire of hell, consume my enemies!" then the earth around him became fire, and all the paladins died at once.

Dagda Mor fell to the earth, exhausted. Reaper killed the few who still stood against this powerful demon-horde. Then he faced Dougal, he moved without a sound against him, Dougal standing prepared. Reaper came on in a sudden rush, slashing the sword out of his hand with the powerful claws. Then he lifted up the smaller one, and threw him to the ground so Dougals neck broke. Something not even the best healer or necromancer in the whole world could fix. Then he carried him back into the Demon-army as food for the demon-wolves.

Did you see what you have done? Now deamon army turned again against humans, only because you jumped out from forest! Let the hell fires burn you!

Now Rion takes his two-handed sword into his hands and shapes a circle around him on the ground. The circle becomes shining and it seems to keep a demons on the distance. Then he pour blessed water on the sword and runs on Dougal. Their swords clashed.

"Days pass by quickly... As the sun dawns, new heroes erupt from various corners of the land, corrupting the soil by imperviously attempting to overthrow one another."

Falther was again flustering, hidden in his own mind. This disguise grew on him day after day as he could yet not reveal himself to the public eyes, out of fear of purely being decimated by an overwhelming hostile force. Yet, he felt that something in the balance changed and was thoroughly overpowering the other side. Darkness, no longer lingering in the night, rather bringing its foul stench with itself to the battles, openly waged war against the light.

And yet, the old sage knew well that the balance could yet be controlled with artifacts belonging to no one. Falcons reported him constantly of the affairs in the desert where one of the relics was located. A magician, heart filled with pure anger and mind, twisting its way to power, kept guard over the borders where one of the greatest desert wanderer cities were built. He knew not how close he was to finding one of the damned artifacts.

And yet, a terrible thought pierced his mind when he was reminded of the demons gathering forces. The foulest being to walk this earth led them and he could not fight against the fear his archnemesis spread throughout the lands. Dagda Mor, "Patriarch of Hell", the "hero" under whose command Falther's father was assassinated, his soul captured and transmogrified into a daemonic being.

"Revenge can heal no pain, only ignite anger and make one lean towards the darkness... But how can one find the strength to fight this humane feeling of responsibility and solicitude for his relatives?"

He drew his blade and watched it shine in the night. It was the first time Falther actually dared to take it out. Magical as it was, it looked as a simple blade, used by thousands of armies before him. Nevertheless, it was the last thing to remind him of his father, of the great battles he led his son to. The soil around him obviously knew the blade as it was soaked with demonic blood and the blade emanated the lust for that forsaken blood to be spilled over it once again. Joy of retribution... of success...

"Curse you, Dagda Mor! You shall fail as my father did! I will not let this happen! Not this time! Not once shall I fail..."

The duel between Rion and Dougal seems to be not resolved. Both heroes fought brave, defending the honour of their lords. The magic auras that Rion created were weaker in every minute, due to Rion's suffering recived in combat. Dagda Mor watched. He coudn't destroy spells cast by paladin, he was too exhausted himself. All he could were waiting when it will dissappear itself, and then lead his servants to mangle both fighting heroes.

In this time Rion was thinking about all those brave knights, who fought for him and felt. The evil succeeded agin. He coudnt stand that...

You bastard! All of this destruction is your doing!

Then Rion thrown Dougal on the earth. Death Knight seems to become unconscious. But paladin cant afford himself to kill unarmed man. He knelt, sticked his sword into earth and shouted:

Elrath! If you didnt listen before, listen now! You allowed to begun this horrible massacre, and me to watch these scenes! Why you did that? What I've done bad? Answer meeeee!

A blinding flash! In one moment Rion disappears from battlefiled. An defensive auras protecting him and Dougal disappeared too...

later

While thinking about Dagda Mor, Falther heared a sound of armor hitten by a stone. He went to the nearly trees, where the sound came from, revealed the bush and saw... Rion.

Seraf faced the wall of the Shadowspire. He served no master, yet he was no master himself. Falther concealed his utter disgust towards this ugly slime, but Seraf knew Falther too well. Yet, he felt indebted to the lord falconer no matter how much he opposed Seraf's desires.

He took out his hourglass, checking if he still had time to fulfil his plans. Apparently he had no time to waste. This was not the first time, he said to himself, facing the entrance gates to the castle. He took out some glowing chalk and drew a hexagram around himself, cursing and spitting with every word muttered. Seraf knew this was the ultimate defence against anyone trying to harm him. Yet, he felt insecure - the lord of the castle could easily pierce this defensive shard and obliterate him.

Obscure figures, backs bent on the grass nearby the road. Old man and a man in shining armor. How come they are next to, but not inside the castle? Taking a closer look, the truth was revealed.

"No. It cannot be. Falther!"

Falther quickly realized he was being followed, yet he revealed no sign of understanding. The sound of metal crashing on the rock caught his attention. Standing up he looked at the side from where he was followed once more and approached the strange spot in no time.

"Blimey! Rion?"

A paladin lay petrified on the grassy floor. He transpired with a difficulty, yet Falther could not do anything about it. Paladin's bloody armor and blade shone briskly, emanating bright flashes of light to whoever was close. The stench around him gave out the truth - demons!

Falther never really understood how he had come to know this paladin in the first place. Had he been known for his devotion to Elrath he would have become one of the elder order. Yet, he chose his own path, his own devotion. Their paths crossed a while back. when he came in search for the Sacred Ruins where Elraths' first temple was erected, unfortunately, to no avail.

"Whatever happens a demon always leaves a trace when fighting..." He observed overlooking the man. "Dagda Mor was there, am I right?"

His veins and temples doubled in size when he uttered the name. Foul, evil, pesky being. He knew he was right about it - Dagda Mor always left a daemonic mark. But how Rion came to be here was beyond Falther's imagination. Something must have happened...

"Tell me your story, paladin... And I shall tell you mine..."

"Evil must be fought, Falther... Demons... approaching..."

With the last phrase he dozed off, falling into a painful sleep. Falther knew he needed rest and that was all he could offer. Safety was beyond his capabilities to provide with.

Meanwhile, Seraf stood astonished in the shade, cursing at the appearance of yet another defender of light. He could not let any of them get away, but his plans were far more important.

"Plans at peril. I must rush."

"Mind if I ask where you are rushing?"

A sharp hilt of a blade touched Seraf's neck, scarred and bruised. The one he had seen already. The one who harmed him...

"Falther..."

Dagda Mor was resting, he wish he hadn't used that spell. He had killed great parts of his own army, all the demons who were close to the paladins had also been destroyed.

"Changeling!" Dagda Mor said, "Go to the city of the undeads, we need a demon inside there."

Changeling ran away, and left Dagda Mor alone again. He had got powerful enemies, he had not expected to loose that many demons against the paladins. But that was only a little part of the humans he knew, a little part of the enemy. But he had lost several hundred demons, but still just a small part of the army.

"We are ready... The Gremlins finished making the last artifacts. Every single creature in our army is equipped." Says Foular to Er-Saff. This time, Er-Saff seems to be happy, even exited, for unknown reason.

"Let's find Dagda Mor. He'll be delighted to hear that." says Foular.
He uses mind travel to find where Dagda Mor is. He raises the wand and teleport Er-Saff and himself to the place.

Foular and Er-Saff see Dagda Mor, standing out side of something that seems like a ruined battlefield.
Few hundred demons where there, most of them are dead.

They find Dagda Mor. He lies on the earth, breathes heavily.
"Foular... Er-Saff... It was..."
"What happened?" asks Er-Saff, and reaches a hand to help Dagda Mor.
"No! Don't touch me! I'm cursed!" he shouts, still breathes heavily. "I'm the.. one who killed all.. these demons... It was an accident... I tried to cast... the spell went wrong.."

"I'm more interested to know who cursed you, and how he made you to kill your own army?" says Foular. He doesn't seem nervous at all, even relaxed.

"It was Seraf... I tried the spell and..." says Dagda Mor.
"Yes yes, we heard that" says Foular, that seems to be bored.

"Anyway, I will command the undead troops" says Foular.
"Undead troops? What undead troops?" asks Dagda Mor. Even Er-Saff seems to be confused.

"These undead troops" says Foular, looking towards the hundreds of dead demons.
He raises his wand and casts Raise Dead spell. The dead demons raise to live as undeads, as Skeletones, Zombies, Vampires, Liches, Wights and Ghosts.

Er-Saff gets very pale. He doesn't stop looking on the undead troops, terrified.
"I think that I'll teleport myself to Al-Shahar, just to check that our army is ready to go" says Er-Saff very quickly.
"You stay here, and go away only with me." says Foular, that seems to be ammused by Er-Saff's fear.

"We are not going to war. Not with Vokil..." says Foular.
"You don't?" asks Dagda Mor.
"No, we have better things to do than killing Vokil. He isn't that dangerous for us" says Foular, and draw the sword of life, that Dagda Mor gave him.

"Who is more dangerous for you than Vokil? Arcon?" asks Dagda Mor.
"No" answers Foular. "You are" He stabs Dagda Mor with the sword of life, and teleports himself, Er-Saff and the undead army to the desert.

"Why?" asks shocked Er-Saff "Why did you kill him?"
"His army doesn't trust him anymore." answers Foular. They could betray him... I prefer killing him than fighting against thousands of demons."
"His army does everything he says! They would never betrayed him!" shouts Er-Saff.

"And why did you kill him with the sword? He can be ressurected!" says Er-Saff.
"True" says Foular "and he probably will be ressurected soon. I hope is that his army will abandon him."

Seraf watched Falther's blade intently, unable to drive away his pitiful watery eyes. He almost felt its tip pierce its skinny neck,, making it bleed in several places. He knew not a muscle would flinch if Falther had to kill him. He knew he could not reveal his plans, but he felt he could not hide them from this man. He would not thwart them anyway.

"I came from Dagda Mor."

Unable to control the weapon he wielded, Falther etched a deep scar in Seraf's neck. The very name uttered by this slime as if he came from the actual being itself sickened Falther at the very thought of it all happening.

"What?!" he lashed out, aiming at his chin. Seraf was overwhelmed, though he could not be surprised. Instead, he cursed himself inside for describing it all so stupidly.

"Do not misunderstand me, Falther!" It was one of the first times Seraf actually dared to pronounce Falther's name with such immense brute force instead of stuttering like in the old days. "Dagda Mor is not my ally, nor is he my friend or any relation I have. I serve no master, you hear me? No slime will take rule over me."

Falther grinned and let go a sigh, strangly similar to laughter.

"Slimes speaking about slimes, you have got to be kidding me... One should not make fun out of himself."

Seraf shivered. The wailing wind was now blowing heavily, harming his face with cold icicles. He would have fallen on the grass, were it not for Falther who held his shoulders in a tight grasp. However, it was the fear that made his bones emit sounds of cracking.

"Yes, slime." He muttered knowingly. Falther never hid his feelings. "Dagda Mor and his army were battling with the free humans. Paladins, as they call themselves, were led by one immense and powerful man who later on battled against a humane traitor. I watched the battle..."

"Uh-huh... Lie gives birth to yet another lie. This is a chain reaction - a continuous action spreading like a bacteria. How am I to trust you, Seraf? A liar is as good a truth-teller as a bunch of swollen monkeys."

Nevertheless, he knew Seraf was not lying. He had already seen that Seraf had always been hiding his plans, yet he had always seemed to tell truth.

"Dagda Mor is dead!"

Seraf screamed, rendering Falther muted for a few moments, confused and motionless. It was a shriek of joy, sheer satisfaction and flowing self-esteem. Seraf escaped from Falther's grasp, taking out his hourglass again. He was low on time.

Falther fell on the grassy floor, imitating a pure swoon. The blade cut deep into the soil, leaving a mark beyond one's power to remove, unless one could command magic. Seraf started gaining speed as he started moving in the opposite direction from the body.

"Till next time we meet..."

Seraf ran away, quickly disappearing into the night. He was free! Unstoppable!

"No, there may be no next time..."

Falther stood up, grinning at his ability to disguise. His emotions were always hidden from the world, unless he personally wanted to reveal it. Yet, he did not know he could perform such acting performances. Falther knew well that Seraf was but a meager worm and would never kill one with such power.

"Oblivious like a tree... Dagda Mor whas been here since the time started flowing in the Divine Rivers... He was nearly killed many times, respawning even stronger every time despite the pain and the quantity of necessities for it to happen. His shaded body evaporates only to be resurrected in the Unholy Flames. Even the ancient weaponry cannot harm him... Not even magic... Whoever touched him made himself the fiercest enemy of all... Poor Seraf..."

He returned to the place where he left Rion. He was snoring in his sleep, still recovering from the terrible wounds that had been inflicted upon him. Bleeding stopped, yet the wounds were covered with salty sweat that made him occasionally moan in his sleep.

"Dazzling in the Infernal Fire, demons spawn from the unearthly rifts. Once a demonic body is given birth, the soil around turns to ashes... And until the day that it dies, demons are sworn to avenge as many as possible... Dagda Mor will be alive until the continuum of time is enchained in worldly prison, unless an artifact who had harmed its entity severely once is found - only the one has the power to annihilate the demon once and for all... Alas, a new way must be found for it is unknown if it still exists... Humans will have to find the strength within to finally defend against..."

Foular suddenly felt bad.

"Damn!" he whispered, "I forgot the curse!"

Dagda Mor had put a curse upon him when he accepted the sword... if he betrayed Dagda Mor he would be dead. But Foular controlled magic too, he tried to heal himself good as he could while the curse worked, but somethings is impossible to heal. His power sank, and the soul were ripped apart. He would only have half his power whatever happened now. He picked up the sword, but screamed. The sword had burned his hand, and now it melted slowly.

"No!!!" Foular screamed, and casted frost spells on it. No use, frost doesn't help against hellfire...

Dagda Mor lay on the ground, dead, but still not. His soul lived in the fire of hell, feeding on the pain. He grew stronger, but needed to be resurrected still.

"Mylord?" Brona stood over his master. "Damn it..." he whispered. He summoned his friends of sorcery; Galaphile, Allanon and Bremen.

"My allied, we have to wake our master again." he started, "But the power used must be powerful when resurrecting such a being as Dagda Mor, so we will have to work together."

The four sorcerers gathered their arms over Dagda Mor, said some words together, and green fire appeared. It shot down, hitting their master, waking him to life. Dagda Mor was on his legs at once.

"Damn Foular! Well, he is cursed at least." Dagda Mor hissed, "He must have thought that he could take my army. He don't even know that demons will never change side, not even when they are dead." He grinned, lifting his Doom Staff, then lowering it again.

Far away the undead troops turned against Foular, turning back into demons again. The demons themself could not animate the dead, resurrecting was their weakness. But if they were resurrected or animated, they were alive again, ready to serve their old master. Only a demon could rule a demon army!

Reaper and the furies that had followed him to destroy the elven-villages slowly, elf by elf, saw an elf standing in front of them. Reaper stopped, and commanded the furies to do the same.

"Magic..." Reaper said, its voice was almost like a barking.

The furies started to move into the woods to surround the elf. Usually Reaper would kill the elf alone, but this one had magic more powerful than it had ever encountered before. Lucky to Reaper only magic could kill it, so when someone with a sword tried to, it didn't help. The furies was many, about 50 of them, and they were deadly. Their gray forms moved into a huge circle around the druid, their woman-like faces twisted with rage. They were man-eaters, and lived on human flesh.

"Now we shall see how the elements will help you against this..." Reaper barked, he could sense the nature of the others power. And he recognised the staff he had used when he was once young.

Dagda Mor and his army moved faster than Vokil expected, they didn't need sleep or rest. They were now only one day away from Vokils castle, destroying every undead village they came upon, killing the villagers.

Reaper saw the battle, and realized that he had gotten help from some new creatures, other demons.

"Go for the druid!" Reaper barked, "If he die the dragons also do!"

The furies flew against the druids, their claws tearing down the gold dragons in their way. But many of them perished because of their wildness. Reaper ran into the group of fighting creatures, ripping one of the gold dragons throath while he passed it. Another gold dragon tried to stop Reaper, the dragon were strucken to the ground and teared to pieces.

"Now, druid, meat your fate!" Reaper roared, facing the druid.

Raven sent a ball of fire in the chest of Reaper, strucking it to the ground. Reaper rose to his feets again, like he had never been touched. He was at Raven with the speed of a phoenix, grabbing the staff with both hands. The staff started burning red.

"You are not the only one able to use this staff, druid!" barked Reaper, "I carried it before I were banished you fool! I am its true master!"

Raven turned the staff cold, Reaper released at once. Slashing Raven in the stumack, hurting him deadly. Raven shot a beam of ice into Reapers head, which was hidden by the cowl. Reaper grabbed his head, screaming in pain. Raven helt the beam, but then suddenly a furie came running toward him, all the dragons were killed. He released Reaper, who escaped, and killed the furie in the blink of an eye.

I this moment a bat - over 20 meter lang come from the skies and caught Raven with his hindlegs, Reeper tried to cut the bats leg but his scythe just "cross" the bat's leg like a ghost flesh, the reepers can't kill undeads and their servants.

Bat: Icccccccc, Iiicccc! Master! Vokil... want to see the elf! Iccciicccc! Don't be scared... Iccccc stranger!!! Iccccc...

When the bat was near the Vokil's town he let the elf on one glade in the Dark Wood, Vokil was there too.

Vokil: This is magic neutral area, Raven

The elf was still "besotted".

Vokil: Have you saw them? They are demons, thousand of demons! And they will attack me till tomorrow...

Vokil: The army is not a problem, I can eliminate them, the young wizzard, who was dameno's friend is not a problem if he want to be... but the demon leader... he is coward, he will escape again or use his troops without to hold the sword alone... but if you try to attack him on the battlefield tomorrow... he hate elfs and he will try to attack you alone... and you can use the druid fire... just kill him or capture him and give me his body... be my friend young Druig!

Vokil took out his sword and cut a small forelock of the druid's hair.

Vokil: Tell me what you think, you'll hunt him with me, or the bat will throw you on your old place?

Behind Vokil there were 2 guards and a demon, he is a demon spy, captured today, the guards, cut the domons head and full a chalice with blood.

Vokil: Drink of his blood! And be my ally!
