No tips or comments here?

I would suggest getting Enligthment, Destruction, Sorcery and Luck for maximum "blast-power".
Stay away from Conjuration, its just too slow, and the other non-magical skills are redundant if you just aim for blasting your way tru.

Just one comment, kill all the neutrals for the mission 1 subquest(there must be a location that reveals them, not sure) and it's gonna be an overkill later Yes, a maximum destructive strategy works.

Being a mixed campaign you can depend on the other heroes you have built so far for the last mission. I found that killing that massive fortress army with rune of resurrection and both spell schools wasn't feasible with my limited mana so Ylaya took the back seat for the final fight. However with some more planning, getting the second dungeon town and cutting of the dwellings/mines for the dwarves she could take Tolgar down.

Actually with luck, attack, leadership and light I lost almost nothing, no need for guardian angel There were 2 haven towns though and some time had passed until I killed the inferno forces and found the dungeon town. Actually I don't even remember if you start with a dungeon town in the first place so that may be the only one on the map.

I remeber that the final battle was hard for me and I would have lost but the guardian angel kicked in and ressurected my archangels which I used to ressurect my paladins ( I think)...and I won.

Hey, retribution and luck did the trick! I remember that except for many paladins I had focused on marksmen because it was still 2.0. In 2.1 you'd probably have some more paladins and less of the others.
Maybe I had waited more than you, it was a pain buying and upgrading them all! I even had archangels.

Ok I might be missing something... but I can't complete this mission even on easy. That king whatshisname has so ludicrous armies already on week 2 that have no chances against him even with super statted warlock. :/ And the inferno hero that attacks on week 2 is also a bit tough to handle.

I get to the part about having to take tor-hrall easily, and get through both garrisons easily, but the guy in tor-hrall has just insane troops. He had something like 9 magma dragons, 30 or so warlords, something like 60 rune priests, over 100 black bear riders, 80 or so berserkers, 200+ of both skirmishers and shield guards. And thats at week 2 on easy...

Anyone who has got through that mission who could tell how they did it?

Warlock vs AI is a different story. If you have summoning just abuse phoenix + arcane armor + raise dead. Phantoms are great too. Destructive will do the trick against mighty king but only if you can hit and run with Ylaya and I'm not sure if running away is considered a loss or not.

Alternatively, dark also owns AI easily. Spells like frenzy, mass slow, puppet, not that overpowered in general, are definitely overpowered vs AI.

My hero has like 260 mana or something, running out of mana wasn't the problem, running out of troops was. I have destructive magic, luck, enlightenment, offense and logistics. And yeah I think running away is considered a loss.

Then with no dark/summoning it's going to be hard. The only thing I can suggest is sending some fodder inside castle walls so that AI clusters itself(AI always attacks stacks in range regardless on consequences) and is owned by meteor shower more.

Also, AI will not leave castle walls if it has better shooting power, so it's good to leave skirmishers alone for a while.

I'm having the same problem.I have about 3 weeks until the deadline and I attack him with my dungeon hero I think.I had 80 paladins or so and tried to attack his shieldguards.I killed only 200 of 700+ shieldguards. The other thing that bothers me is that he has the incorporeal rune and does that to his warlords and rune priests. There is no way I can beat him.

I can give you one advice though:take the other haven castle as quickly as possible. And when you want to attack Thror-Hrall don't bother with marksmen or inquisitors. The marksmen die very quick and the priests barely do some damage.remember of having 50 or so and i killed 20 spearwealders of 300.Instead upgrade them into swordsmen and cavaliers

If you are having trouble, it's because you waited. Right from the beginning, give all your best troops to your strongest hero. Have that hero charge straigt to Tor Hrall and take it down. I didn't even bother with building or recruiting anything. This was on Heroic.

Yes, but still it's very dependant on stat/skill distribution.
No good magic(stats and spells) = no easy win..

Not really. I won with Ylaya. She had 51 attack (no artifacts) because I always take attack from arenas and because I did the optional quest in mission 1. Didn't need any spells or anything else.

This was the hardest fight in the campaing (actually only hard one). I tried might heroes first whit no luck. Ylaya and her Destructive magic finally finished it whit just one Inquisitors stack left.

I used Isabel for the critical battles like the 10k enforcer garrison and King Tolghar. Worked out pretty well, actually. She may have some pretty crappy skills, but her Bless speciality is actually quite powerful. Any of the Haven heroes would have worked for my strategy though, since they are quite alike. I used about a month, I think. Ylaya lost almost all troops taking the first Inferno city in the first week ,dealing with a Inferno hero showing up 2 days later, and taking down the Renegade hero, but her spells kept her up as I sent her to the Dungeon town. Wulfstan then took over with the 2 other dungeon cities, also losing quite some units in the process. As for the Haven heroes, I had Freyda stay at Horncrest, Duncan and Isabel taking the mines with each about half of the starting army, then joined them for the garrison I mentioned. By the time I went for Tor Hrall, I had every other city under my control, thus a pretty impressive income. With concentrated forces, Tolghar was still though, but I still had prenty of troops left when the last of his shieldguards bit the dust.

I played on Normal by the way, so it should work on any lower difficulty, maybe even on hard. As long as you developed your heroes decently, that is.
