Hi,

It doesnt suposse to work at the moment. The downloads section of this page says the add-on is comming soon .... how soon I dont know.

I copy/paste features of the HoMM3.5 directly from the page

HMMIII In the Wake of Gods (WoG) is an expansion pack to the Heroes of Might and Magic III Shadow of Death game. You must have Heroes III Shadow of Death installed prior to installing the expansion.

"The WoG brings a lot of changes to the game that are different from those in SoD:  script language for Event Related Model (ERM) that lets you change the function of any object on a map;
new Heroes' specialities;
new Monsters;
new unique creatures - God representatives;
new artifacts;
new dwellings;
new objects of different nature;
new decorations;
new unique animated from turn to turn decorations;
ability to change a view of the map during the game (for example season changes);
ability to set a custom hero' s portrait;
ability to incorporate customisable dialogue for maps;
ability to incorporate new pictures and videos for maps;
protect maps from viewing and changing in the map editor.

And the list goes on... "

In 11 days we would be able to play WoG!!

Itll be kind of fun playing 'new' HoMM before march

"The HMM 3.5 Team is pleased to announce an official release date for Heroes III: In the Wake of Gods. After a number of delays, we can finally say that WoG will be released on November 20, 2001, barring Acts of God or other mishaps. After its release, the WoG expansion will remain a work-in-progress and may be supplemented from time to time with patches, new versions, more maps, further expansion of the ERM scripting language and all sorts of other cool and nifty things as time allows. However, the bulk of the project is now done and we can assure you that all maps created with the version to be released on November 20 will remain compatible with future updates. Furthermore, after installation over SoD or HC, the player will have his previous game run as usual. The WoG is only an add-on and does not replace the original configuration of the game."

The battle with Lords of Thunder was exciting (They are lvl8th creatures of Tower I suppose A/D 32 60-75dmg 600hp shoot TWICE, thunderclap, no melee penelty, no fear, air shield)

There is one map avaiable - havent tried it yet.

And of course the campaign.

Its a different expirience, good to have smth. like this before H4.

P.S. I couldnt run the movie, dont know why.

Sure, I can give a try:

-The game is more RPG style, you have many choices and they have influence on the game play.

-There are tons of new features, some of them might be usefull in multiplayer kind of games.

Tutorial:

-When I visited the Sphinx, he asked me a quesion. I gave wrong answer and I was cursed. Id get blessed if my answer was correct.

-There are new kinds of units. In the tutorial I saw Arctic Sharpshooters, War Zealots, Lords of Thunder and some more.

-Remember the box where hero's speciality is? They added two more: God bonus, God blessings and curses.

-Treasure chest was edited so I could get 7500 gold or 7000 exp.

-Griffin Tower was enhanced so I could recriut Royal Griffins.

-I think every object can be edited, so it has different properties. They say you can even add new look and new properties.

-Transylvanian Tavern: It looks like a Hill Fort, but dark blue. I was attacked by 5 stacs of vampires (4 in each), when I won I got several Vampire lords and gold.

-There was ballista on the ground. I picked it up as any other artifact.

-I could demolish buildings in Town, when I destroyed all I could create a new Town. I chenged Inferno into Castle.

-You can leave your troops not only in mines, garrisons, towns, but whereever you wnat to.

This is just a tutorial, at the moment Im playing the only map avaiable Cave of Grefrex. Its like a story with hundreds of new things. I havent tried the campaign yet, but I bet its awsome.

This add-on gives so many possiblities for skilfull mapmakers. Now, they (Im not one of them ) will be able to create map of they dreams.

Hexa: You download the files (30mb + 26mb optional movie) to any directory. Hit install, I think it adds files to a directory where your HoMM is installed.

I have SoD and now it takes app. 400mb. During installation they mention that you need at least 800mb for full inst., I suppose its needed just for instalation process.

I think you can install it from whatevere drive you want to, but it must be install to a dir. where you have your original H3

I have some new info about WoG.

I found it in a file h3wog.htm. Its copy/paste, I havent checked it myself.

"New 8th level monsters

Basic Description:

All 8th level monsters are divine in essence, and therefore cannot be recruited the same way other monsters are recruited. To recruit 8th level monsters it is necessary to capture a dwelling of the appropriate monster. To do so, you will have to battle against several 8th level monsters. Immediately after capturing a dwelling it is possible to recruit the monster into the hero's army. If you delay, the monster will no longer be available there and after the initial recruitment, you will also no longer find them at their dwelling.

However, on day one of each week, for each 8th level external dwelling controlled by the player, one 8th level monster from that dwelling will be available to be recruited from any town owned by the player in which the appropriate 7th level dwelling has been built. However, this is a total number of these monsters available to the player that week, regardless of which town or towns owned by the player they are recruited from. For example, if you control two Storm Temples and also own two Tower castles, each with a 7th level dwelling built, you could recruit 1 Lord of Thunder at each castle, or 2 at one and none at the other as you choose. Note that the presence of one or more 8th level monsters at a 7th level castle dwelling is in addition to the 7th level monsters there and not instead of them.

The 8th level monsters have an extreme level of individuality and because of this you may only recruit one at a time, and if not recruited during the week, their number will not add to the following week's. Thus, if you have two external Storm Temples, then after recruiting one Lord of Thunder, the second one will become available. Also realize, that if you try to recruit 8th level monsters by clicking on the castle in the town screen where all monsters of all levels can be recruited, you will not find them; they can only be found by clicking directly on the 7th level dwelling in the town screen.

Each time an 8th level dwelling is captured by a different player, the new owner has the opportunity to immediately recruit the 8th level monster there even if a monster has already been monsters from there has already been recruited this week by another player.
