Heroes 5 patch 1.5 is available

The 1.5 patch is due next week, as announced in french by Ubi_Wuigi, Ubi Community Manager, [edit]and now also in english by Ubi_Rickas[/edit]

The changes include:

New tools:
- Duel Preset Editor
- Campaign Editor
- Viewer for unlocked Campaigns dialogs
- Combats replay can be saved after any combat, and camera movements can be edited in the replay editor
- Spectator mode to watch duels live

Gameplay and bug fixes:
- Necromancy and Training updated to 2.1 new mechanics
- Bunch of bug fixing, as well as many AI related improvements

Use this thread to comment and explain the latest changes. I'll post more myself about the new tools once I've played a little with them.
As an early note, though, notice that the Necromancy Dark Energy values have been tweaked:
The Dark Energy pool in 1.5 starts at 250 (instead of 200 in 2.1). Each Pillar of Bones adds 20 DE points (instead of 150), and the Hero bonus is doubled.
Personally, I think these are great tweaks, as it will allow a better scaling of the DE pool in late game.

I like the replay feature!

Finally I will be able to show u guys my great combat skills xD

It will be easier to describe balance problems, too ("just look how that guy f*cked me up, imbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah")

Seeing as 1.5 took too long to show I kinda expected it to come with 2.2. The most important parts for me are the changes from 2.1 and the duel editor, maybe the replay feature as well. I'll get it to experiment a bit with the duels.

Some other changes posted on the ubi forum. There's more but I find these somewhat more important.

- Game no longer crashes when splitting the joining creature stacks.

- Fixed memory leaks in combats and combat replays.

- Reduced the amount of bandwidth used during combat. Yay!

- Corrected the number of lost creatures shown at the end of combat if the “Raise Dead” spell was used.
I thought that had been fixed??

- Added more information for Resurrection and Raise Dead spell predictions. Huh?

- Town “Upgrades” hotkey fixed.

- Griffins no longer disappear from the ATB bar in some cases when the hero performs a melee attack.

- Improved combat AI tactics for strike-and-return creatures.

- AI now uses “Mark of Necromancer” ability properly.

- AI no longer casts the Armageddon spell if it can win with no casualties without using the spell.

- AI now understands players' divertive placing tactics (such as those needed to defend shooting creatures).

- AI can now bring its troops closer to moats.

- AI no longer stops casting spells after Counterspell has been cast.

- AI now uses Necromancy more efficiently.

- AI now ignores summoned creatures in combat if it is shortly to eliminate the main forces.

- It is no longer possible to duplicate the army illegally in duel mode.

- “Imbue Arrow” now works properly even if “Deadeye Shot” is not present. Nice!

- “Firewall” and “Fire Trap” now function properly when applied to creatures on their initial positions right after Tactic phase.

No, I think this means exactly what it says: With 2.1, Training and Necromancy was changed, whereas 1.41 still retained the old mechanisms. 1.5 will make H5 equal to HoF with respect to these two skills. There is no reason to believe 2.2 will be out next week.

They can't really fix Dwarves in 1.5, since you only have Dwarves with HoF, which would need 2.2 before it is changed.

I do wish hope, that they fix the week descriptions !! a little thing, but i hate looking at fx. Week of Witch -! There are no witches ? Week of storms: Thane and STORMLORD growth doubbled ! There are again no Stormlords ... But else it sounds great
