Hello everyone! This is my first post in this forum


Well, I feel that I should say my opinion regarding necro since that is by far my fav town.

First of all, I am very unexperienced with HOMM, this is my first HOMM game and I've only had it for... let me thing.. a few weeks?

Anyway. Necro was too powerfull before this patches, I mean.. after a decent fight with an enemy hero you could end up loosing like.. 50 ghosts, 50 zombies, 5 liches, 3 vamps and a few wraiths.. But you gained  like 1k skelli archers.. You never got weaker!

However, now its not that easy to get say 5k skelli archers, but its quite easy to get hundreds of vamps fast (witch is my fav unit since I use Lucretica). And I dont know how powerful the vaps was in HOMMIII or HOMMIV, but I think they get rather powerfull indeed with Lucretica on lvl 20 with expert enlightenment (pretty much like.. 30 att, 40 deff or something).

So the only think this "nerfing" did was first of all, yes, to nerf the necro abit, but it made it alot more fun to play with! You cant just crit for a few weeks and then go and take on everything with legions of skellie archers! You have to think what units to raise!

And thoose who think ghoosts and spec dragz are a waste, think about when you have march of death (or whatever the name is, you know, when you get 4 pluss speed during siege), you can move your vamps, your ghosts, and your dragz inside your enemy walls on their 1st move! That can block or kill shooters and casters, and then your shooters can focus on their meleé! Sure, your poor fellas inside the walls gets a royal beating, but thats better then to let them stand outside doing nothing and wait for the catapult or earthquake spell to break the gates! Necro has 3 flyers (well, the vamp aint a flyer, but it has teleport).. name 1 other town that have that?

So think tactical! If you dont want zombies, then dont raise zombies, if you dont want ghosts, then dont raise ghosts! That way you save the DE for the troops you favour!

I hope I made some sence, but it wont suprise me that I am wrong since I've only played for a few weeks : )

Nice first post!

There is a bit more strategy with Necro now but I feel they are still easier to win with than some of the other factions.

Yes, that march of death ability is pretty sweet!

By the way, I beleve the campigns are ALOT easier with the newest patch then before (dont know which patch this came in since I installed them all at once) since the enemy heroes flee from battle! You dont gain that much XP, but you dont loose that many troops!

Anyone else experiencing this "problem"? And the enemy hero only attack if they face a city without deffence, or a scouthing hero with 1 troop with him.

Does this change on heroic? I've played the game like.. 40 hours or something, so I haven't tried out hard or heroic yet
