sorry but wasnt starcraft 2 announced quite a while ago (sometime in 2006(blizzcon i think Which is exactly what it sounds like)
sounds great btw. theres an official site somewhere
havent played starcraft 1 actually but what really made it for warcraft 3 was the simple and flexible map editor. lots of people liked easy mapmaking i guess

the modification of the mothership blows; no black hole(arbiter's cloaking device instead) and no more time shield or whatever it was called ( replaced by the corsair ability); this pretty much makes the mothership an ordinary unit

Yeah but lets face it. with abilities like the black hole theres a very thin line between being overpowered and underpowered.
like black hole that can suck in 3 units once every 2 minutes or so =Underpowered but one that can suck in 6 is overpowered

AWWWWW they nerfed the mothership!
I was soo looking forward to blackholing and enemy fleet of battlecruisers...
*sigh* oh well...
It seems as though now, you can have multiple ones and is probably on the same level as the Thor unit.
Awesome pwnzor mothership..I will miss thee.

The Zergs were awesome.
I liked playing the Terrans and the Protoss more though.
Seriously, Protos were very hard up in very early game in multiplayer, and single player too.

They sure were hard... ANd I like them too - Im just not a good starter.. Where zerg did me good. Just build many zerglings and hydralisks . The best defense ever..!

I like the Zergs, but I just don't like the way you build things, takes a little longer then the Terrans and the Protoss.
For me, I think Terrans have the fastest build times.
Anyway, I really like Terrans.
For starting defense, I might make a few bunkers, and place 2 firebats in them, and 2 marines in there.
That way, I will be able to shoot enemies that are far away, and if they get too close, then my firebats can take care of them.

A couple of zealots will just stroll past your bunkers without even one dying and start to drill your base while your troops sit neatly in the bunker lol.

Actully correct. When the AI comes with 12 zealots against your 2 little bunkers.. You will be... Screwed... Terran has bad defense until the siege tanks come into play.. until then, MORE BUNKERS!!. More marines!

Who said I would build 2 bunkers?
I usually build around 6, 7 or 8.
TNT is correct, only if I actually did build 2 bunkers, but not about 6, 7 or 8.

I want to see the new zerg!
Anyways, terran are my favorite. Ive built some pretty crazy defences with them. I usually find a bottle neck, block it off with a wall of supply depots and then build some bunkers behind it, fill it with marines and eventually get some siege tanks. When playing versus the comp, this always works (as long as you can set it up fast enough) because they are too stupid to realized you have to destroy the supply depots first, so they just run around outside your wall and get shot.

There's a game convention in California this month.
My bet is that Blizzard will be there and that they will unveil the zerg (some units and a building or so)
