game crashes during NPC's turn!
Hi!
I need help as soon as possible!
I am playing Hotseat multiplayer mode with my sister,
after sometime... game actually.. CRASHES when NPC goes to shroud/fog of war!! What could be causing this? It happens every time, even after restarting game or computer! Any help for me?

Which game are you talking about?
What are your computers specs?
Does you sister's computer experience same problems?

Well, this is Heroes 3 forum. 
Computer specs? Can't remember, but we used to play without problems ... We play on my computer.

Does this happen on a specific map?
On different random maps?
What version of the game u've got installed?

At the moment it's All For One (haven't tried others yet).
Unistalling and re-installing didn't work.
It's HoMM 3 restoration of erathia.
I'm worried...

Maybe installing the latest patch could help. Version 1.4 is the last one. Patches can be found here

Can you explain the crash more detail? Which type of NPC? Is there a error appear? etc..
Btw, I've had a problem with my friend's HOMM also. In his computer, we can not use the Necropolis town. If we enter the town, game crash instantly. It just quit without any message. Since we banned Necropolis, this doesnt matter a lot.
But it's quite annoying when we had the second town is a Necro though. Because if this neutral Necro town has guard inside it (say, few Skeletons), then we can attack the town and get it, 500G per day forever  . But if the town doesnt have guard, then it'll safe, coz if we get it, we must go inside it, then the game crash ^^!
And a bit problem with Manticores. If there are some Manticores guarding something, then that thing will be safe also. At least when we still not very strong. Because if we attack Manticores, we can go into battle screen. But when it's Manticores's turn, the game crash. The only way is kill them in 1 turn, which dont give them a chance to move. There's another way, that's quick combat when attack Manticores. That is safe for the game (not crash), but not safe for us though . The problem here is only apply to Manticores (un-upgrated), but with Scorpicores (the upgrated one), everything go smooth normally.
I havent try play Dungeon at his computer, but he said that when play Dungeon, dont buy Manticores, because the game will crash if he do it.
Can anyone explain what's wrong with his HOMM? And how to solve it?
It's HOMM Shadow of Death, version 3.0 i think...

I play Dungeon, sis plays Necropolis and computer Inferno.
This NPC... can't quite recall, but everytime it goes beyond
the fog of war... the game exits to windows desktop without any message, otherwise the game works smoothly and well.
Installing the game i see that CPU type and speed has failed status and direct X too, but it worked many times i've played so far...

Ok, i downloaded 13 to 14 patch of ROE and used it from the zip... didn't fix it. Then i downlaoded it again and extracted it to H3 directory (it created h313to14 folder) and used it again, didn't work. I see a red flash before the directory confirm ends...
What's wrong?

Not sure what you mean about the patches and red flash but my suggestion is to get the latest directX

Well, i've installed Direct X that came with HoMM5 at least.
This patch i mean.
Roe Patches : h310to14.zip , h311to14.zip , h312to14.zip , h313to14.zip
Does the patch isntalling suppose to notify me of something?

The patch works only if your current version is 1.3
Check your version by rightclicking your heroes3.exe file...properties...version.

After you installed patch h310to14 that should be it for patches others are just repeats.

Not really. The patch H310to14 only works for him if his version is RoE 1.0. So he needs to use the patch which shows his current version (1.0 or 1.1 or 1.2 or 1.3) to update his game to version 1.4.
