That gesture made me respect him more as he's a warrior with principles. That and the tone he gets when referring to the star gazing poets
As for Gilraen I used to like him but seeing what a honourable sissy he is he got on my nerves.

Gilraen looks cool. Like he's going to berserk in a flash, but his voice! Terrible.
Same for Findan. Man, what's with their voices?
If they are Elves that doesn't mean that they need to have that ,,English Lord'' voice.
Gilraen is more for a silent, but deadly voice. Something like Illidan from WC3.

Beat the inferno campaign now I'm on second map of the necro campaign.Why is the AI in the first map so stupid.I'm a turn away from him and he goes the other way???

They are supposed to be patrolling so they run in circles except when they can reach you.

Not complaining but it definetely needs balancing.The second map is easy after you butcher the patrols.And now im on the third map.

Maybe the general idea, but most of them are just too strong. Enforcers for example are stronger Conscripts with the Tax Pay ability.

Also, they are, as of the HoF storyline, a bit too closely related with demon magic. Maybe a mission or two in TotE where they get "redeemed" by the new leader of the Haven faction. I don't mind them being a bit more fanatic than the previous upgrades, though.

Enforcers: Way too strong. Either make them something inbetween Conscripts and Peasants, still keeping the tax payer ability (and no Shield Bash, or make them more offensively oriented than the Conscripts with a new ability instead of Shield Bash.

Crossbowmen: No range penalty is way overpowered. Their description indicates fast shooting, so I'd suggest this: They are generally a bit weaker than their counterpart, but they have a special ability that gives them a chance to shoot twice (consumes ammo).
Why not simply shoot twice? I want to avoid carbon copies of existing units.

Vindicator: Cleave is fine, stats might need some tweaking.

Battle Griffin: seems fine aswell, other than the stats.

Zealot: abilities should be fine, but another overpowered creature

Champions: simply devastating with their speed and Champion Charge AND Jousting. They aren't the only creature that can reach the enemy frontlines with their first turn, but only Dragons get anywhere near that much impact. Drop or weaking the Jousting bonus, and increase the Champion Charge tile requirement to 6 or more tiles, so it's not as easy to repeat the 2-tile attack on the same units. And adjust the stats, of course.

Fallen Angels: For some reasons, I considered those worse than the original. Maybe because it's harder to resurrect a tier 7 creature with lifedrain, but they also seem pretty uninspired. Giant vampires? Please. Maybe give them a reverse Ressurection ability:
Wrath of the Fallen (one use per battle): deals damage to a targeted stack, depending on the number of Fallen Angels in the stack. Also decreases base health of the remaining units in the stack by 20%.

I know it's just a game and even the Demons are just an alien race. But you hafto think it whit logic and see Fallen Angels just don't belong to haven!


You know, I'm glad HoMM 5 isn't as openly copying from the bible as HoMM 3 did (especially with the Angels and Devils, and Haven and Inferno in general). Things don't have to be the same way in Ashan than they do in religions, although Fallen Angels does seem to be a bit far off for an alternative upgrade line. Angel of Wrath?.

The new renegade abilities are already known, take a look at the TotE thread's masterpost. Anyway life drain was overpowered exactly because it was on a tier 7 unit with killer stats. A simple bless and it was totally overpowered.

Yes, but it's very incomplete. No stats are given unlike all alternative lines, and only 3 of them have any reported changes.
Listed for further discussion:

Battle Griffin: apparently gets an instant Battle Dive with normal damage, whatever good that'll do, and is still immune to blind but loses Battle Frenzy. Too bad, I hoped they'd keep the general idea.

Zealot: Blind replaced with Cleansing. Good call, Blind is pretty powerful on a caster creature.

Blood Angel: Loses Drain Life but apparently turns into a caster with Righteous Might and Divine Vengence. The latter fits my idea in the last post pretty well, actually... but Righteous Might again?
