Are you suggesting that some of members have been posting when involved with...example drugs?
This is entirely new to me. I have never thought that one could play HoMM or post here when under influence of that kind of stuff...

I told you not to get angry Sha. LOL, I know what I did struck a chord within you, but if you've already deleted all your penalty posts, then why are you asking for a record of where they are? There is only one logical reason for this.
I've always said that I deserve none of my quality points. Half of the ones that I have actually came from a time when red stars never existed. Take them all away tomorrow, and I'll still be here having fun.
I think that some posters are given a bit of a hard edge over the quality point thing. They have less than they truly deserve.
I've seen so far only one post that didn't deserve a quality point, but I've quite happily kept that to myself. The moderators have done their job. Who am I to disagree with them over handing out qp's?
And Sha, I've lost just as many quality points as you have, quite knowingly (and sometimes unknowingly), but that's life. We've both been over this thing a thousand times and it got us nowhere except on the wrong side of this board. Hopefully we can stay on the right side this time, lol.
I'm not sure about moderator of the month. Moderator awards every two or three months sounds pretty cool. (every month would mean that there'd be 12 stars between 7-8 people every year, lol)
And I know you all want to see my naked body.... especially you Sha.

Ok, I never thought that penalty posts would have be deleted when I thought that idea. Well, the idea is gone for good now anyway.
I agree on this about some of the posters:

Currently avatars take less than 2 kb each to load. Making them larger could significantly slow down HC for modem users. Having two versions of a pic is too much work. Having no avatar option for modem users would make the board boring for them. Maybe photos in profile if people are keen about that, but on your own webspace

I must say, I am impressed with those of you who have managed to achieve qp's. For the relative short period of time I've been posting here, I've always (well, almost, anyway) tried to say something interesting and maybe see things from another perspective or angle (redundancy guild, here I come ).
So far I haven't been awarded any qp's, but I'm not offended in any way, just inspired to make better posts. But I wonder: Do you (mods and Val or whoever it is handing out these qp's) actually read all posts on this board? If so, you are truly doing an amazing job (I'm not trying to flatter or hint at overlooked posts, really, my wondering is sincere). And also, does grammar and good english have an affect (bad english = no qp??)

I believe every mod tries to do their best reading posts in their respective boards and Val does some adventuring through interesting threads too.
Does bad english have affect? Not really...
If you talk bulgarian I'm pretty sure you won't get any QPs. But just look my english and I got QPs. I thing that tells the story how true your formula is.
Just keep posting and forget the QPs. Some mod will eventually notice your post and give it QP. And even if you don't get them you have had lot of fun still posting here, don't you?

...generally its that the moderators of a particular forum will award the QPs there in their jurisdiction (not to mention Val can do anything because he has the turban  ) and at least for me, yes I try to read everything I possibly can, or at least enough so I can get a good feel about what everybody's talking about. On most threads though, that usually isn't a problem, because I post at them all anyway, so if I'm planning to carry on the conversation, I've gotta read
...oh, and how good one's English doesn't have all too much impact on the impression they make. However, if I or nobody else can understand it, or even though its a good excuse, one doesn't sound exactly courteous and doesn't even realize it, there's not much that can be done. However, what I try to do is reward points to those that post something particularly interesting, generate much positive (well, it doesn't have to necessarily positive ) feedback, spurs on an untouched discussion topic, or just something that stands out above the rest.

Hmm what i would like is if you could be able to do more to each of your posts the more red stars you have.
Let me explain: Lets say you manage to get three red stars i think it would be nice if you get the reward of changing how your name in you posts looks.
For example you could slightly change the size or change the font or colour of your name to more suit your character .
With four stars you could change the background colour of your posts as well as the colour you can post in. You could also get the responsibilty of being able to change your text size and use some other types of fonts.
Maybe with 5 red stars you could change the size of the picture and add some finishing touches like a small graphic in each of you posts or be able to really add to your signature.
The more red stars you get the more you can personalise your posts as a reward. So i think it would only slow it down a bit when you have 5 stars and can increase the size of you picture.
What do you think?

Some interesting suggestions, Arachnid. I'm not sure if they are possible with the scripting language used for the board (that's the domain of the Big Turban), but perhaps something could be done. The only reservation I would have is some people already have enough complaints about the stars. Adding more 'rewards' might just fuel more complaints. (Insert 'shrug' emoticon here)
As for Don Gio's question, I can't speak for the other mods, but as I work back in the archives, I read every single post on every thread. (It's a necessary part of the process) And since becoming a member of the Mod Squad, I've made it a point to read every new post on the Altar. That way, I stay on top of what's happening there. (Fortunately for me, this isn't as big a job as it sounds ... let's not talk about the stuff back in the Archives. I swear, I saw a bug back there as big as a dragon LOL ... )
