That's why I still preffer Heroes III instead of V.Father,I'm glad someone finally agrees with me,altough I don't hate Heroes V that much now.It's not that bad,I play it once in a while,but III is still #1 for me
I'll stick to III as well if VI doesn't get any better than V.And I've played Oblivion for sometime too .And,yes,if 3DO and NWC were behind Heroes V,I'm sure it would have been better...

Heroes 3 has such a great atmosphere, but the battles in H5 is way better if you ask me. I find the battles in the 'old' games slow, or something like that.

I find H3 very boring nowdays.
All missions are the same, 50% of the spells and skills are crap. Basically, a boring game.
I have uninstalled it since long ago now.

I could not agree with that but having played it as much as I did I doubt I'll be playing it again anytime soon. As I've said before it's like heating a cold dish, it's not as delicious as the first time.

Heroes 3 was a great game, but for all its flaws, once you crack the code of Heroes 5, so to speak, it offers a much broader range of strategic options than Heroes 3 did. I don't agree that Heroes 3 has more atmosphere than Heroes 5, I think it just has the advantage of older age, which means nostalgia for oldtimers (hence "atmosphere"). Heroes 5 has a range of flaws, but so did Heroes 3, so seen in terms of the gaming options, I think Heroes 5 is a much better game. What I miss is the option to plage huge epic scenarios which Heroes 3 had.

There was a time when I hated V,but now I think III and V are both great games.I play V but I still play III every day when I have time
