Alright, my turn:
Academy - Tier 5, Roc / Thunderbird. Fits the desert scene, and Academy's lightning theme (with the titans).
Necropolis - Tier 6, Dread Knight. obviously.
Haven - Tier 1, Pikeman / Halbardier. More fodder, but perhaps with a 2-tiled range attack so the enemy can't retaliate, untill they come that one tile closer 
Infero - Tier 5, Efreeti, badass flaming genie-things that boost Hellfire ability. Seems to fit them!
Sylvan - Tier 2, Fairy / Fey. Some stupid kind of girl that does exceptionally well at looking pretty and dying. Otherwise useless, and the tier level is way overrated. It should be tier -1 given their pathetic stats. Stupid fairies... Oh, they have a base growth of 132 a week.
Dungeon - Tier 4, Drider. Duh. With an ability to heal themselves when they stand over a dead stack or something. Or an ability that allows them, instead of attacking, to spin a web where they are standing and onto the surrounding tiles. Enemies moving into it get rooted.
Fortress - Tier 3, Wolf Riders. They attack bear riders when they are standing next to each other 
Bastian - Tier 7, Behemoths / Ancient behemoths, overkill. It fits.
Reptile town can get Nagas, Wyvern riders, Draconian warriors, and lizardmen
As for the whole Mighty moo / medusa stuff... They are the same. And should be combined within a simple naga / Gorgon creature, an archer, but with a petrifying stare when attacking melee. At least that's what I feel Mighty moos Pwned, but Medusa = Gorgon.

We don't need to look so far but only to Disciples series (I know, I'm kind of maniac about it). Dwarves there have Summon Valkyrie spell. I think that it would be very nice idea to include them in HV also.

As long as they are ACTUALLY WEARING CLOTHING! seriously, the elves of the windy dungeons wear like nothing. If riders in the ice are like Victoria Secret Models then it's really bad.

We already have fairies, pixies and dryads. Maybe the satyrs could occupy this space. I would prefer satyrs to look like the ones from warcraft or pan's labyrinth instead of heroes IV. The ones in Heroes IV look gay.

Satyrs are not evil, they are only portrayed as so in Warcraft III. For the most part, they are neutral beings. They originated in Greek mythology. I think they make an appearance in the Pandora's Box scenario of Heroes III: Armageddon's Blade.

Many of you really want to have these back - But , They are actully going to be, just not like Rocs and thunderbirs but as Pao kai ... Pao Kai attacks with lightning ... So they are coming back just as a pao kai

Would it not be cool if Wyverns were like, feathery wings + tail, and then the two alternates were Roc (all feathery) and Poa Kai (no feathers)?

Emilsm is right. Rocs are functionally replaced by the pao kai same the way the maidens have functionally replaced the harpies and shadow matriarchs replaced the beholders.

You don't need any biology because it's not a visual change, its a functional one. Let's look at the breakdown:
Roc: Flyer
Thunderbird: Immune to Lightning, Lightning Strike
Pao Kai: Flyer, Immune to Blind
Bigger Pao Kai: Immune to Blind, Lightning Strike
So you see, its basically the same FUNCTIONAL creature albeit a different look of scales vs feather.

There's no logic in it though. How can a fricking reptilian beast turn into a BIRD when upgrading it? Sure, shadow dragons turning into red dragons doesn't make too much sense either, but it makes a lot more sense than completely different species changing into each other.

Dude. There are other ways of getting new creatures like this. Because the upg are other species dosent mean the roc evolves to pao kais! They jus hire in new creatures which may fit better to that role. Though I would prefer Frost Eagle and Thunderbird upg for Roc.

Man, you guys are dense!
No one is suggesting changing species. The whole argument revolves around the point that since there already are pao-kais in the game which FUNCTIONALLY are similar to thunderbirds there would be NO REASON to have the same type of creature around. Pao-Kais and their upgrades are EXACTLY the same as Rocs and Thunderbirds in terms of their abilities, who they will be employed on the battlefield and tactics. Hence only one such creature can exist! And since Pao-Kais have already been CONFIRMED to be part of the Bastion, there would be NO POINT in having thunderbirds and rocs around because if u strip them off their scales or feathers and take away how they look and transfer their powers into some jelly-like or any freaking creature, they would move, act, attack, fly and react in the EXACT same way. Now do you get the point???
