RMS, you obviously speak english very very well and you write in a manner that belies your age. Darkmyth, although I do not know your background, you also have a flair for the written word...
I always thought a moderator was neutral in all aspects of the Community and was only ever presented as biased when the rules were slighted. RMS, you're here to keep a cool head. Not yap on about your intellectual pride and honour of being what you term 'a janitor'.
You made Darkmyth out to look rather bad in that landmark post. 'Tremendous onslaught'? LOL as a poster and as someone who's done something different and is obviously looking at the Community in a different perspective, he's merely stating something which you've then rushed to defend and somewhat made a mockery of what it means to be a Moderator.
Although I disagree with Darkmyth's views of autocracy in HC, I hold no defensive pride in correcting his views. Someone as intelligent as he can correct his own views in time, I'm sure.
RMS, if you had've made that post as a poster and not as a moderator, I would have had far far more respect for it (I'd be clapping!), but you've lessened your status in my eyes by going to such lengths to make a member of the Community look ridiculous whilst you appear to be higher than thou. Sorry if that slights your pride as a moderator, but I feel that you should have understood when you accepted the position, that moderators are not always revered and as respected as they may seem and a simple bar of black text underneath your name only allows you to do things that some of us can't. It doesn't necessarily endow you with instant respect. As they say, that is the one elusive thing which you will have to earn.

If you make long posts like I do (maybe not as boring as mine) please divide into paragraphs (and chapters and books if it goes so long)...
I couldn't read your text RMS.
This is only small suggestion as some other posters happen to do this too.
I get big hammering headache from reading that kind of messages.
I just cannot comment it other way as I cannot read it.

Thanx a lot for defending me all this time, Shae. I really appreciate your consideration. But I never viewed this community as an autocracy. In fact, I even stated SEVERAL tmes in the thread that this community ISN'T an autocracy.

Well then there we go! Darkmyth is aware of our democratic processes here (never once has Val changed the HC and not asked our opinions of it), so I guess that this whole thread is now completely redundant and perhaps it is time to move on to something a little more interesting...

You're not horrible at all
As a matter of fact, you're actually very good at writing. Your vocabulary surprised me. And of course you wouldn't agree with what I said about you. Nothing personal of course, I'm just talking about RMS the moderator, not RMS the person. 
Now that you've kinda said everything that you've said, I didn't really expect you to back out without further explaination. I'm just curious is all.

I agree with Shae
You have quite an interesting talent, RMS. It's not as striking as some people's from RL but it's still very good. I said this to Smeg and I'm going to repeat it. I usually don't go blabbing compliments. One has to have a real talent to make me say this. Maybe because I like my own writings-on-the-wall a way too much. ;-))
