That sphere came to my mind because of the way the Wraith is 'dying' - transferring into another dimension. So you could say this is how I see the Death Touch ability

Narutofan? Actually I am but that has nothing to do with that picture. But since everyone in the series start spamming those rasengans (overrated) all over the place shooting it like from an SMG I see why did you get that idea I stopped enjoying it after the time skip (talking about anime). Rarely anything happens, they just stare at each other most of the time, saying stuff like:
"-I know the answer! dattebayo
-You do?
-You do?
-Really?
-Yeah. dattebayo
-Are you sure?
-Naruto tell us!
-Ok I'll tell you now. dattebayo
-Listen. dattebayo blablabla"
And later on during the same episode you get a retrospection of that. And two more from a similar dialouge from the previous episode.
And guess what! We're going off the main story to see some even more boring fillers! woohoo dattebayo
......

but manga is fine though

Here are all the most interesting artwork images, on the base of which the Heroes of Might and Magic V game was produced. You can see how some of the designs changed or evolved.

Moderator's note: QP applied for endless contribution and help with cleaning.

Nival Interactive:
Academy:

Creatures (two images for the Gargoyle, one for the Naga and two for the Rakshasa Raja) other than the Rakshasa, the images could be found on Leonid Kozienko's website:

Heroes (two different designs for the Wizard and a more detailed image) the first one can be found on Rindriguez Praliers website:

Dungeon:

Creatures (Minotaur Guard, Hydra, Shadow Matriarch and the Black Dragon, note that the Dragon is green, so that the modelers and texturers can see the detail better) images are from GameLand's website:

Heroes (the Warlock of course) made by Rindriguez Pralier website:

Structures (a whole overview of the town, it got changed a bit though) originally posted by Eternor on CelestialHeavens:

Haven:

Creatures (Crossbowman, Vindicator, Battle Griffin and Inquisitor):

Inferno:

Creatures (Familiar and two versions of the Succubus):

Heroes (two different designs for Agrael and one for Biara, note these are reference images for the modelers and texturers not the portraits made by Ubisoft for the world creation process):

Necropolis:

Creatures (Skeleton, Bone Dragon):

Heroes (Necromancer) made by Rindriguez Pralier website:

Structures (Castle, I do not know about you, but I just love the details in this one):

Stronghold:

Most artwork pieces were done by Boris Scherbinkin.

Creatures (Goblins, Slayer, Executioner, Wyvern and Paokai):

Structures (some random never used buildings):

Sylvan:

Creatures (Druid Elder, Green Dragon and Emerald Dragon):

Heroes (a look on how the Ranger evolved, and a detailed look on the unicorn) the first of the images was made by Rindriguez Pralier website:

Neutral:

Creatures (Wolf, Fire Elemental, Fire Bird and Phoenix) the latter three were originally posted by Eternor on CelestialHeavens:

Environment (Desert, Mausoleum, Palace, Ritual Hall):

Items (two versions of the Cloak of Sylanna, Crown of Leader, Cursed Ring, Helm of Chaos, Horn of Plenty, Ring of Caution, Ring of Machine Affinity, Sandals of the Blessed) taken from Warlock-Games, a cmpany that was mainly responsible for the design of artifacts, texturing and modelling:

Structures (Elemental Conflux which is one of my favorite designs, Garrison, Naga Temple, Stables and Tavern):

Ubisoft:

Note that this is mostly reference art for Nival, to get the proper feeling of the game. It got posted on Galerie lencrage and made by Gwendal Lemercier.

Academy:

Dungeon:

Fortress:

Haven:

Inferno:

Necropolis:

Sanctuary (the Nagas):

Stronghold:

Sylvan:

Other (Troll and a Werewolf):

New World Computing:

Some images from the now non existent Heroes of Might and Magic V game, produced by NWC. The drawn artwork is made by Nowa Yu, rendered artwork by Tracy Iwata and the models were made by Keith Talanay. If you run a search on google, you'll find their websites with lot's of more images (from other titles and from Heroes III and IV and some Might and Magic titles)

Fairy Town (the lineup is: Sprite, Elf, Werewolf, Sphinx, Green Dragon and Phoenix):

Haven (Archer, Squire, Pikeman, Crusader, Cleric, Champion):

Lizard Town (Lizardman Mage, Archer, Hydra, Wyvern and Black Dragon) :

Necropolis (Vampire and a town, basic and fully established):

Other (Valkyrie, goes with a chariot, Harpy, Minotaur, Cyclops, Warlock, Wizard Keep, Lumber Mill, Ore Rafinery):

I have seen most of them, but the stone Rakshasa is damn cool!

I love the elemental conflux too ^^

Im so sad that we didnt get to see Naga in H5, but im sure that they will be in H6 - atleast as an expansion town.

And the old dungeon concept was damn awesome.

I just wonder one thing though.
I have seen a town concept art of some kind of white haven-like port/harbor town. It looks like a big gate between a mountain pass filled with water.
I have always wondered what town it was supposed to be.

What's with the NWC H5 only having 5 creatures per town? That's less than H1!

Seeing the two types of art side by side certainly shows how different the NWC and Ubisoft ideas for HV were. On Ubi's side I like the second art for the Succubus, and on NWC's side I like the Necro's town.

Though one thing bugging me with NWC was the elves' feet: I could understand if those were a style of boots, but for actual feet. . kinda makes me feel uneasy.

Thougt about that all had not been finished and done yet? -.-

From what I know, it was supposed to be seven creatures in the end. Obviously, Haven would probably get Angels and the fairy town that Unicorn.

Even though it's not really artwork, I'm posting these images here since I have no idea where should I post them, and as a great part of Heroes history these deserve to be seen. I'll be happy if a moderator has any suggestions.

These are seven different incarnations of the interface you see in the game:

Version One (it was decided that it takes too much place):

Version Two (it was decided that it's not efficient enough):

Version Three (named by Ubisoft as "too cartoony", known to most of you from the Publisher's Demo):

Version Four:

Version Five:

Version Six:

Version Seven:

Battlefield – divided into hexagons early on. As you can see, the Paladin is too small compared to the Peasant. The options were to make bigger creatures hold more hexagons, or divide the battlefield into squares. The first option wasn't good enough as really big creatures (Dragon for example) would need seven hexagons, which wouldn't have worked properly.

That was a good edit

The leaked alpha version as you call it should actually be called a Publisher's Demo. It's made for the publisher (for Heroes it's Ubisoft at this point, once it was 3DO) to look and decide wether it's what they're aiming towards.
