are you serious?

nothing happened.

it was the thickest book of all (I think) and NOTHING happened in the movie.

think about it, when you walked out of the movie, what had changed?
um..
fudge resigned
sirius died (for about a minute before you find out he's not really gone)

That's it.
At least after goblet of fire (which was good), Voldemort had come back etc, in this, nothing.

Actually yes it does matter.

You can still be interested in it if it is in another forum.

Here or there or anywhere???

But I stumbled upon it here and maybe I wouldnt have found it if it was somewhere else William.... oh and the mods are pretty good at sorting that stuff out so dont worry yourself about things that are not important in the big scheme of things .

Enjoy it as it is and only worry about the things that you have the power to change

lol, you haven't been here that long, so I don't think you would quite understand

I just don't think this is the right place for this thread to be in.

btw, is the book any good?

Is it worth getting and/or reading?

Oh yeah, the book is, in my opinion, the best in the series, though I'm biased because of the Dragon Riding.

lol that's okay

Good to see you back, even though I do not know you.

And another Aussie!!! YAYa!!!

Anyway, a lot of people at school have sorta ruined it for me, telling me some of what happens, and I at least would have liked to have read the book before knowing what happens.

But meh

the book is intense pretty much from the start. the only problem i had was that there were several places that were quite predictable. the epilogue i thought was cute. one way to make sure there are no spin offs to the book.

on the count that HP stinks. well this is something had my ex wife not throw such a big hissy fit over i would not be reading them. a little background on it. as my ex wife became a "born again" christian, my mother had bought my daughter the first four books as a present for christmas. my ex wife refused to allow the books into her home. stating the books were evil. this got my interest in the books as a way to make sure that i would not make a decision on ignorace, so i picked up the first book. i was hooked by the middle of the first book and i haven't looked back.

now this gives my daughter and i something to talk about, other than how was your last two weeks.

im a HP fan, im not ashamed to admit it lol.. i read the first one wen it was first released; since then iv never stopped reading. I bought the new one first day it was out, finished it on saturday night just before 11pm, meaning i got to go out after haha.. i love the series, its one of the last things that i had left from my childhood and now that its over it feels wierd. But to those ppl who think they are too mature to read HP, you can never be too old for good literature .. I have read many books, and i rate HP as one of the best ever.

I actually deplore the movies, i dont mind the first few, but i feel as if they dont do the books justice, especially the last one which in my opinion was the greatest flop ever. It changed bits from the books, left out awesome bits, and more importantly, seemed to be more snapshots of the book then an actually story.

I might not be a kid anymore, but i definitly am not too old for the book. Its well written, and just because it is enjoyed by many children, doesnt mean it cant be equally enjoyed by anyone else.

Okay, here's my take:

I used to think the series got better and better with every book. I decided otherwise upon reaching the final chapters of the Deathly Hallows. Beginning with the conversation with Dumbledore, it all went downhill, to produce the groaniest and mehmost groan when I got to the "19 years later" bit.

Yes, I enjoyed the book. But I'm still disappointed. Halfblood Prince is still the best in the series.

lol, no

The real order (for the books) is this:
GoF>OoTP>DH>PoA>HBP>PS/SS>CoS

For the movies, it's different, though:
CoS>PS/SS>OotP>GoF>PoA

I can't decide whether Order of the Pheonix was a good movie or not.  Better than Goblet and Priz, but better than Chamber? dunno.

Because I have not yet put my hands on this book, I scrolled all the way down as fast as I could.

All I want is PM's telling me whether or not the book is worth reading.

I would assume it is, I have read all the other books in the series and LOVED them.
