The point isn't that you would actually want to do this. The point is that every town has it's strengths and weaknesses. The devil's speed and no-retal is a very powerful tool for inferno. Even on a scout, 1 devil can do things no other town could do.

hahaha...cough....cough...okay. Conflux is perhaps the most broken town in the game. It's level 1 is good, levels 2-3 are amazing, amittedly level 4-5 are crap, but level 6 and especially level 7 are extremely powerful, due to the numbers of the Phoenixes. Also, everything has some kind of immunity. And their Grail building gives them all spells. Also, I would agree that Tower is overall stronger then Fortress creature-wise, but Tower is much more expensive. Too expensive, in fact. Those creatures don't help you if you can't afford them.
(Also, keep in mind that lots of archers is not necessarily a good thing, as they all need units to guard them. Tower would have too many to guard if Titan wasn't capable of taking care of itself.)
It can exaggerate a bit, but :

2. good
3. very slow, only upg. is good
4. good, but not enought hp.
5.Inept
6. very good
7. VEry weak, not enought hp and very low defense

Level 7 is weak. But you get double growth. And ressurection. So the 2 level 7's end up facing like 6 Phoenixes. Who's weak now?
Also, the Sprite is fast with flying and no retal-good,
The Water Elemental is also strong for it's level.
The Storm Elemental is exceptional.

I meant phoenix, that not as unit of your castle, only as on map e.g. 1 phoenix vs. 1 angel or dragon 1

And sheensher, the whole point of the phoenix is that it's not 1v1 against other level 7's, but instead it's like 3v1. And it's the fastest creature in the game.

I always wanted to know, what happens after battleround 32767..
Maybe round nr. overflow? 
@Klazier: Best hand to hand Town for You is maybe Castle.
No demon farming, no necro arti hunting, no special combat tactics with Hydra/mighty gorgon/A.Devil, just go ahead and fight. Also have stables. All creatures are ok, no weak points. No complications.

Thanks for replys guys.
I tried several towns. And there are several things that i'm confused with:
Why inferno sometimes gets implosion and does't get blind, and visa versa(gets blind and doesn't get implosion)?
Can other town get implosion without invading inferno or trought grail and spell scrolls and the magic shrines?
How to farm demons?
What are the tactics for fortress and strong hold and inferno?
I played against my brother on L map. I had Inferno and he had necropolis. When we fought he had about 2000 sekeletons and he won me with ease. Is necropolis one of the best town or is it somehow suited for L and XL maps where are throngs for low-level units guarding?
I somehow see that fortress, stronghold and inferno are one of the worst town you can have. Maybe I just don't know how to play with them. Anyone can guide me or give me tips? Maybe we can talk over MSN even.

I believe Necropolis thrives on larger maps. If you let them get rolling with skeleton farming, you have no way to stop them. In fact, Necro and Conflux are banned in many online games. If you want a fair game, don't let him play as Necro.
Stronghold I believe is meant to rush the enemy fairly early on.
I'm pretty bad, but I've gathered from reading various threads that with Fortress, you want to build wyverns day two. You also want to send out scouts with flies, as flies are extremely fast. Also, if possible, you want to get a town with a higher-level Mage Guild for things like Teleport. There are also specific tactics you can use with Hydras, but I don't know what those are. Fortress's main problem seems to be lack of speed. Thus, something like a Mass Haste would help extremely well. Fortress, Stronghold and Inferno are not worse then the other towns. It just takes a higher skill level to play them to the best of their abilities- for example, the Fotress creatures' special abilities.
Also, spells for the Mage Guild are random, they're not the same every time.

Anything can be done with magic (thinking of a video Homer made where he took down a giant army with 16 arch devils and the berserk spell). Therefor I prefer Tower, because there you can get +1 spell each mage guild level. Which means that you have bigger chance getting awesome spells.

@WoG_EDN: Yes, I also prefer Tower, but He asked for a good hand-to-hand Town at L/XL. Tower has 3 shooters, and magic oriented.

Dungeon is kinda pricy, with a bad level 6 though. Castle would probably be the best choice for straightforward hand-to-hand, seeing as Monks suck anyways. If you want true hand-to-hand though, take Fortress or Stronghold, and Tazar or Crag Hack, respectively.
