HOMM3 System
Hum I'm sorry I'm often lurking on this forum, and maybe the question was put, but I couldn't find it. I would like to know how is calculated the damages in Heroes 3, and what importance have Attack, defence, damage and number of creatures?

The damage a creature deals is dependant on their Damage attribute, of course.
Damage stat - Damage dealt on attack.
Attack stat - A bonus to damage dealt.
Defence stat - Reduces enemy damage.
The higher the number of units, the more damage dealt. For example, imagine that 1 Centaur deals 2-3 Damage. 2 Centaurs will deal 4-6 Damage. 4 Centaurs will deal 8-12 Damage. And so on and so forth.

Ok thanks, it was easy^^.
So X unit with 1 attack; 2 defence; 1-2 damge
Y unit with 2 attack; 3 defence; 1-3 damage
5 X inflicts 5-10 -2 damage(difference) or 5-10 -5 damage (difference x number of creatures) if they attack 1 Y ?

I think that's about right. But then there's the heroes, who add their own Attack and Defence bonuses to all of their units. So it gets a little more complicated after that.
