 plus, I am busy playing Assassins Creed, Call of Duty 4, and Orange Box now...[all so much better than Halo3.]

Cortana level with fog, makes it alot creepier, but with iron skull and health care for enemies? get ready for some serious headache, halving picked up ammo just makes it even more interesting 
But off-topic a bit, seriously Mass Effect is so close and Im more pumped up than ever, havent been so crazy after a game since Halo 3 
Seriously guys, get it!!!

installed halo, played aprox. 35 mins, uninstalled it. Installed halo 2, played more, uninstalled it. Played halo 3 at some friend for 25 mins. Got bored.
I'm sorry but HALO does not have great storytelling. It's storytelling is dull and insipid, lacking depth. Bla bla US Marine whatever, aliens, some ring shaped planet... old news. Why are we forced to ingest this bull-snow everytime we want to play a decent game? I think there are a thousand movies and hundreds of games that gives us this piece of info: The US soldier is the most freaking fantastic human being. He's kind, handsome, courageous, etc. Why isn't the korean the same? Why not the iraqi? Who said so? (and out of topic : for all the over-patriotic heads, here's a question... Why did america really invade vietnam? did they feel the urge to pick up on peasents? )
All the games nowadays are really the same snow with different color tone. Military shooter/fantasy MMORPG/WW2 rts or some sort of fantasy-space theme.
Come on, give me a break. For it's storytelling Halo is worth dust. For everything else, Halo is nothing. There are a lot more reasons why I hate it, along with Call of duty and other modern games but I think it doesn't matter because I know you're all gonna reply with things like "halo ftw"...

If you chew up all those + those others, then you may change your mind and see clearer, because the Halo universe is really deep. But noone unless those who bother see that.
But Im agree with the thing that Amercans always want to be in the middle and show off muscles. But Its no too much U.S bravado as in other FPS games I have played. First off. Its in Africa when you are on Earth. NOT in the United States, though the marines from U.S indeed act like macho men. Notice there are different nationalities in the games and the books. Spanish, British, African. If you pay more attention, you will know what I mean.

Thread necromancers for the win! Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. There is not even a SINGLE word about the United States of America in the game known as Halo. The human cahracters in the game are from the U.N.S.C wich stands for United Nations Space Command. Unless you have noticed the gameplay is top notch in each of the games and the story is deeper than you think and besides if you played each game for about 30 minutes I don't think that you were abled to catch anything else except the first few cinematics before the game really gets to the damn plot. You just stopped playing because of your prejudice for every single modern day videogame. You say that you hate games that you have not even tried and call them bad. That kind of behaviour is just damn stupid and it is a part of an epidemic going around about people just judging books by their cover and then going all around saying idiotic things about things that they really just don't know a damn thing about!
What did we learn about that rant? Well kids when you are feeling very bored and there is something popular that you are prejudicent about just keep your mouth shut about and do not go all around the internet thinking that your prejudice about the popular thing is right it or you will end up looking like an idiot.

I actually found Halo 3 bad when compared to the first two.
The flood is way too easy now when you can kill them by hitting and energy weapons have been boosted to do more direct damage (not just energy based shield breking).
I liked more the way the first two made flood almost immune to hits and energy weapons so you couldn't just go rambo with them like you could with covenant. (Plasma pistol and shotgun anyone?? )
There are some very nice improvements in it though. The power upps are great for team play and multiplayer. The possibility to pick up bigger weapons is good but it should have been made free not scripted. Some nice new weapons too. Too bad the pistol still sucks.
Of course there is the biggest problem that it isn't out on xp.

First of all it's a FPS.
They're not exactly known to be put up on a pedestal with The Iliad and Pride and Prejudice.
You're meant to shoot the **** out of some aliens, and this is the best game I've ever played at that.
And the game is made by Americans, largely for Americans. That's why the American is the hero. And if you'd actually played it for more than 25mins and tried extending your attention span past the half hour mark you would know that he's not the typical goody-goody.
And if you had played the game for more than a second you wouldn't label him kind and handsome.
"Come on, Give me a break", you never see his face and he rarely talks beyond smart ass comments. If you want to pick at flaws in the game at least make them existent.
And you cant play for 25mins and attack the storyline, that's just trolling. Play for 25mins and attack the graphics, or the sound, or at least the gameplay.... but not the storyline! Seriously, you can't even remotely know the story, so don't post on here and judge it just to get a reaction.
Stop the trolling and go find a midget to shoot rubber bands at or something.

I agree completely.
Prejudice and trolling is a plague among several gaming communities around this planet and feeds on the most tiny thing in games that may seem imperfect to them, especially FPS'es like Halo.

I'm sorry I'm not smart like you, or a great ass-kisser! I hate it when 15 year old kids play smart. But if I recall corectly I did not offend any of you but just the game by the name of Halo, which I still consider a piece of money-making crap. I'm sure half the ones who say halo is great just say it because the other half does it too... yeh, great job Orfin.
