Imo Ossir is also good without elven luck.

Retribution requires Recruitment + Battle Commander that suck.
Ossir was badly nerfed, as Wyngaal now can have natures luck + frenzy + Nature's Wrath + Elven luck

You guys all forget the Memory Mentor. When a map has one, there's really no problem. Just unlearn the blocking skill / perk.

Do you think that A barbarian hero will need a Shatter "magic school" skill ? or would he with Artifacts and other kinds of Resistance perks be able to hold off magic att.?

Or destructive for warlocks or light for knights. Though both can switch to their other favoured school. Of course the possibility to get the right shatter skill is low so they may gamble it instead, it depends on the map size. Afaik there is no way to find out what type of magic the opponent has unless you go on a skirmish but even then he can mislead you by casting low lvl spells.

Shatter seems to be quite devasting IF the enemy relies on that school of magic, but I'd rather just get Expert Luck and the orcish perk that gives your troops 5% magic-proof per point of luck.

Although that won't help with Light Magic, so Shatter Light might be pretty useful when facing might-oriented factions. Also, many caster creatures have Light spells in their spellbook, which hopefully get affected by this too.

I'll try something with Sylvan :

Hero : Wyngaal
Attack - Tactics,Battle Frenzy,Nature's Wrath;
Luck - Soldier's Luck,Resourcefulnes,Elven Luck;
Logistics - Silent Stalker,Pathfinder,Familiar Ground;
Light Magic - Master of Wrath,Storm Wind,Refined Mana;

So as you might have seen this build is going for the ultimate, and has some pretty useful skills .

Now the creatures :
1. Dryad
-the extra 1 dmg can be useful especialy with Battle Frenzy and Nature's Wrath (and my favorite neclace...the blood claw ).
-treant union sound pretty nice but I would like to test it first and see how it actualy performs in a big battle.
-still these little Dryads can realy pack a punch so I go with them

2.Blade Singer
-I chose the alternative upgrade because of the defecnce perk witch will keep more of them alive because I'm allways losing alot of the Blade Dancers in battles

3.Sharpshooter
-I just like to be with the winning side LOL.
-if I manage to get the No range penalty bow I'll switch back to the old Master Hunters(elven luck works better with them).

4.Druid Elder
-I just like these guys...they help me alot with creeping

5.White Unicorn
-no question about it these new unicorns are much better than the old..at least in my opinion

6.Ancient Treant
-nothing can beat these guys at defending so I chose them.

7.Crystal Dragon
-this dragon is a KILLER and I bet it will be the best offensive lvl 7 creature just because of the dmg it will do...I can't wait to try this beauty

So I'll try to be more on the defensive but I will be able to quickly atack if it is needed. And when my babies will atack they will deal huge damage from the ultimate ability

playing with the skill wheel I found what would be a great level 15 rush hero with vittorio:

expert war machines, first aid tent, balista, triple balista

expert light, master of wrath, master of abjuration, eternal light

advanced attack, archery, flaming arrows

It is ameizing you peeapol think just like me, becase thet is exacly what i will pic exept the skills, it will be like this:

Hero: Talanar or Wyngaal
Leadership: Recruitment,Battle Commander,Aura of Swiftness.
Logistics: Scouting,Swift Mind,Silent Stalker.
Attack: Battle Frenzy,Natures Wrath,Tactics.
Defense: Vitality,Stand Your Ground,Preparation.
War Machines: Ballista,Triple Ballista,Imbue Ballista.

but acssuly the skill thet i will pic is depending on the hero thet i will pley white, becase if it whas Ossir i will pic Destructive Magic.

if i will pley white Ossir then it will be luck + skills are coming (all most) in rendomaize when the hero is geint a new level.

Badly nerfed?? You must be joking, archery with ossir is already better than having elven luck. No really elves are a joke now...
Nature's luck may be one overpowered ultimate but to get it you'll need something like 25 skill levels and barelly usefull skills for elves such as refined mana or stormwind... archery on the other hand is right there, requiring only basic atack

Inferno :

Hero : DELEB - this hero is totaly overpowered now with the right skills;


Skills :
1.War Machines - Ballista,Triple Ballista,Catapult. (and with the new ring that gives another shot for the ballista this will be a killer hero)
2.Logistics - Pathfinding,Swift Gating,Teleport assault.
3.Attack - Battle frenzy,Excruciating Strike,FLAMING ARROWS!!!. (i mean come on ... after the fact that the ballista will probably shoot 4 times -if i get the ring- , dealing the fireball spell at every strike now the ballista ignores the defence).
4.Sorcery - Mana regeneration,Arcane training,COUNTER SPELL. (this will be very helpfull against all magic users )

You might have seen I didn't go for the ultimate ablity and that's because you will miss some usefull skills if chosing to go for the ultimate.

Creatures :
1.Familiar
-I just like these little guys...and I will need mana to use for my counter-spell.

2.Horned Leaper
- +1 to initiative is useful and the Horned Leaper seems much more fun than the boring Overseer.

3.Firebreather
-the cerbers and imps get killed first in a fight so might as well get these firebreathers so I can cause as much damage as posible in one strike.

4.Succubus Temptress
-no doubt about it..this creature has to be the most IMBA in the expansion and that't why I'll like to have it one my side. Their ability is very very useful.

5.Nightmare
-I preffer the old Nightmares because they have better initiative.

6.Pit Spawn
-OMG..the minute I saw these guys I knew they have a place in my army.
-Magic-Proof 50% is very good.
-+20 HP
-and let's not forget the excelent "Axe of Slaughter"; this used with Teleport Assault can completly destroy a big stack.

7.Arch Devil
-come on...the "Summon Pit Lords" ability is way better than the "Summon other".
-plus the arch devil has better initiative and the all important speed.

So this build will let you take all the mines easily, defeat almost every neutral. The problem is that it depends quite alot on the ballista so if it gets destroyed you'll lose some of the armies force.

I hope I'll get some reviews for this one

Familiar? whay familiar? if you have battle frenzy and Blood Claw Vermins can be very powerfull.
